Sometimes I wonder why this board isn't super active and then threads like this remind me why.

Cant have a good thread on here because of SBC posters and the ignorant ones on here who believe them.

Yeah CUSA selected the best teams that were FBS Independents and
Then selected the best FCS teams to move up.

And then just merge with a totally non FBS Conference

This board isn't super active because CUSA is the island of misfit toys right now.

A deeply apathetic Middle Tennessee from nearly two decades of Stockstill, Western Kentucky wanting MACtion, LA Tech who finally found a home after being the east outlier in the WAC for so long only to see most of the members they were most looking forward to joining depart a decade later and FIU... well it's FIU. The incoming members will hopefully continue to find this board and bring some of their excitement with them.

Now if the PAC raids the MWC in a major way, then I could see C-USA and whatever remains of the MWC merging. C-USA already has NMSU and UTEP in the Mountain time zone. That would probably be a better option for both conferences. I can't see the MWC wanting to call up multiple FCS programs, and C-USA could grow back to 12 or 14 and move back to divisions.

This makes sense. CUSA and the MWC are going to remain a step above the ASUNWAC. I could definitely see the two merging if the MWC is reduced to six.

The MWC would get Big Sky schools.

The WACSUN is a FCS conference that is not tied to the CFP revenue. All C-USA have to do which they have been doing is offer the teams that "can move up" an invite. Most of the schools in the WACSUN do not have the budget or resources to move up to FBS.

It is undeniably worse when people bash the Sun Belt. What are you doing on their board? If you believe they're overrated don't pay them any attention here or there.
