Rockets offer 2026 5'6 G Whitney Stafford from Olentangy Liberty, who was at the football game today.
She has offers from CMU and Kent, and also one from Buffalo, but from pre-Coach Burke, so don't know if that is still available.
Williams was at UT for a visit. Looks like she is making the MAC tour according to her twitter, as she also had recent visits to WMU, CMU and NIU. I believe she holds offer from all three now, in addition to UT.
Notice today that prepgirlhoops has Macey Fegan as the #5 prospect in MI for '23, and Cadence Dyksta at #6. Strangely, the list has no #2 so not sure what is going on there, but the 1,3 & 4 players are committed to Ohio State, Loyola Chicago and Michigan.
Rockets have offered 2024 SG Braxcynn Baker, from Lowell, MI.
She has a ton of offers already including CMU, WMU, DePaul, Army and Navy (I rarely see MAC-offered WBB players with service academy offers.)
Rockets offer 2024 6'3 Ellery Minch from Mt Vernon HS, IN
Seems folks are projecting her as a wing, as she can hit the three. Prepgirlhoops has her as the #5 player in IN for 24
Offers from Wright St, Penn, Bradley, Buffalo, Holy Cross, Army, Butler, Cinci

That's a great recruiting class, whether or not we sign anyone else.
Cullop said two, maybe more. Fegan has nice size and can score inside and out. Read a story that said she was offered by Michigan as a sophomore. Don't know what happened with that.

I commented in another thread that the way Cullop said that, it seemed clear to me that these are the only 2 signings now, and that after the season they will look at the portal and potentially sign 1 or 2 more (2 open spots as of today.)
What happened is Fegan chose UT, and she verballed pretty early which likely shutdown other offers, or at least no one reported on them. She looks like a potential big-time talent from the little film I have seen.
Michigan got Elise Stuck who UT also recruited and she barely plays there, but probably would have at UT.
Macey Fegan scored 26 in the opening game of the season and now holds the Standish-Sterling record for career points (1603) breaking the previous record held by former UT Rocket great Kelly Walker. https://www.mlive.com/highschoolsports/2...night.html
And here are some highlights from Cadence Dykstra's 21 point night in her season opener:

Probably should start a new thread soon on recruiting, but in the mean time, I saw that 5'11 - 6' G/F Julia Hall from Magnificat HS (Rocky River) was at the MSU game on an unofficial visit. Can't detect any offers to her yet.

Not for a while. We have three centers (Cook, Noveroske, and Garcia) with two years of eligibility left after this year, and a fourth (Brewer) with one more year left after this year. We do have a 6'2" signee for next year, but she doesn't play in the post, as I understand it.

What? We don’t need a big? We have not much depth in the post. Noveroske is serviceable but not someone you can count on a lot for production and Garcia is not a post player. I’m not saying Cullop needs to sign a bunch for next year but give us at least a 6-2, 6-1 body down low to spell Cook or heck even start.

Last year, our three centers combined for 633 points and 402 rebounds. Divide that by 35 games, and you get averages of 18.1 points and 11.5 rebounds from the post position. That production came from players who, eligibility-wise, were two freshmen and a sophomore. To that mix, we have now added Lonasia Brewer. There have been times when we looked exposed defensively in the post, but that is mostly due to the fact that Cullop, unlike the vast majority of coaches, refuses to double-team the post under just about any circumstances. Sure, if we get an all-America center who chooses UT over high major offers, that would be great. But the post is not an area of need for us. Rather, it is an area of strength.
