Here is the story on the cancelation. Maybe they changed their mind.

If not enough teams have .500 records they use academics to pick a 5-7 team(s) to fill the slots.

Tickets appear to be digital only, in case anyone wants something to rant about.

**** you. I’ve been to multiple of our bowl games, and go every time vacation time allows.

Been a Tiger fan for over 40 years.

Do again, **** you.

So the mods are cool with this reasonable, balanced and articulate response? Along with the rating comments I received? Fantastic.

I think last year they made a second Frisco bowl game, I think what is getting cancelled is that second one.

Yeah, last year there was a Frisco Bowl between San Diego St and UTSA. Two days later, there was a Frisco Football Classic between Miami OH and N Texas St. The article on thespun.com says the Classic got the axe.

The only thing worse than the USU offense is the USU defense.

Have to wonder if the USU pass defense is legitimate or is it there is no need to pass because people are running through them like crap through a goose.

Let's hope their habit of turning the ball over continues.

AAC vs MWC for G5 supremacy.

Wow. They have four bowl games in the Dallas area and none of them are played in the Cotton Bowl stadium.

3 of their bowl games are in stadiums that seat less than 50,000. In other discussions on this board concerning Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium renovations, the arguments against reducing the number of seats involved maintaining 50,000 - 55,000 seats for hosting the Liberty Bowl. Is that seating requirement necessary in light of bowl games at TCU, SMu, and UNT’s stadiums with lesser capacity?

Pay more for crappier seats ?

Wow, really?

It's a sad reality. Learned my lesson at the Liberty Bowl. If the U wants to sell tickets, acquire the seats in which people actually want to sit.

A second responder is a worker who supports first responders such as police, fire, and emergency medical personnel. They are involved in preparing, managing, returning services, and cleaning up sites during and after an event requiring first responders. Wikipedia

So, that might have been the easiest process ever. Just downloaded four tickets and there was zero verification process. Maybe they will ask for some proof of status upon entry? Otherwise, they are literally giving tickets away…

It's a sad reality. Learned my lesson at the Liberty Bowl. If the U wants to sell tickets, acquire the seats in which people actually want to sit.

1. The university gets no say in the seats given to them by the bowl game.
2. There are a lot less people going to a bowl game in Dallas than one in our home stadium.
3. The university allocates bowl tickets based on tiger scholarship points and level. So fans who actually donate to the university get better seats.
4. Not buying tickets from the university takes money directly from the bowl payout.

People wonder why we didn’t get into the big 12, but they aren’t willing to support the university in the smallest way.

I may be wrong but the process for this bowl seems much more in your control in regards to ticket location. When I clicked on link from UM email it took me to a page where I was limited to buying tickets on the east side of stadium & I had the option to choose seats in 3 of the 4 price categories ( only the expensive mid field section not an option). Where as in the past the Liberty & Birmingham bowls simply gave the schools a couple of sections in the corner . I would suspect there will not be great demand, so about the worst location you would get from school would be behind band down around the goal line if you bought cheapest price option…..but you have two more price options to move yourself closer to midfield.

None of this is we we got passed over again. Look at Houston and their home attendance.

Geographically, adding Memphis to the B12 right in the heart of SEC country would make all kinds of sense.

It was market size, POLITICS, a little good old fashioned racism, and again, POLITICS.

Note: When you look at a large sample size of people and their buying pattern / behavior as to the reason they deploy their disposable income one way or the other - lack of spending on a product is NEVER the customer's fault. Never.

No need to be insulting I have my reasons as stated in my above post. You seem like Mr Self Righteous on here always a better fan than everyone else. You’re probably a big time hypocrite.
