Solid hire. Knows G5 football and the AAC.

Tom Herman did the color for the Tech-UAB game for CBS. I really enjoyed his commentary, he was "on point" and didn't try to make the telecast about him. Great job. If the FAU gig doesn't work out, he has a future in television.

If the hire is true, it is not a bad hire. The dude certainly knows coaching, judging from results.

I like this hire for FAU. Hopefully he'll stay longer than he did at Houston. Any word on what he'll be paid? If he brings FAU back to glory, he may only be there for a couple years as he was at UH. Guy can flat-out coach though.

Really that’s the only success I can think of from FAU was the couple years under Kiffin.

Would rather have 2 championship years then 3 average or even below and repeat than (WKU) above average 3 out of 4 years but knowing you will never win a championship....

this coach has already shown he can win a much, very, very much, stronger AAC. Personally it looks like a a lot better hire than Liberty and most likely for 1/2 the price.

Liberty should have paid his buyout to FAU and took Herman...,at 4 million a year it was very possible

Yeah that’s true, Liberty overpaying for a unproven coach and FAU made a homerun hire. FAU hiring Herman is bad news for the AAC conference mates, he is a good coach and had winning record at Texas.
