Great game called on both sides of the ball today. Second half penalties came when it hurt the least. I hope we can carry momentum into next week.

When the Game Day Thread doesn't reach five pages it usually means it was either a good day or no one cared. Going take this as a sign of a good day!

Now that any chance of getting ranked is out the window, it's really only notable when we lose games we are expected to win. Is that fair? Maybe not but it's reality. It will be the same story next week. We should easily beat Charlotte so it will only be worth much discussion if we don't.
In the context of growing our fan base, we have very few meaningful games left. UTSA I guess and then of course LSU.

Announced attendance for UTSA vs Western Kentucky is 22,328.
You would figure that would be a huge game considering how big of games they were last season and they are still 2 of the top teams.
CUSA attendance as a whole is pretty low but we're still the top (or near the top) of attendance in the conference.

Got the whole team signed my poster
Looked like a great group of young men. My grandson got all their signatures as well.

Which isn't saying much.

I've always thought the UAB Band sounds like they're playing in "no loud music zone".

Made the trip to Alabama to take my youngest daughter to see UAB at Protective. Great trip! This was the UAB team I expected to see this year, on both sides of the ball. Second half was meh offensively, but at least they finished the first half strong.
So…anyone else asking themself how the heck did this MTSU team run wild on Miami?

MTSU got up on them and Miami had to scramble. Just like UAB got up on MTSU and they were off balance all game because of it. Mtsu beat them deep a bunch of times but uab defense is a lot tougher matchup for them. UAB can cover and doesn’t get beat deep much. UAB can stop the run without stacking the box.

MTSU was opportunistic and capitalized on all of the Miami turnovers. And not to take anything away from MTSU win over them because it was a great win, but I don't believe Miami is as good as advertised.

Although Cash being a doucher and handing the intercepted ball to an MT coach on the sideline while mouthing off could’ve easily been a penalty in my book.
Was at the game, so didn’t catch that…
But watching the replay, looked to me like he simply handed the ball to a staff member (didn’t look like a coach…more of a ball boy type, but that’s probably not the right word).
Didn’t see any mouthing off.
I’ve been hard on this teams lack of discipline, but I don’t see anything wrong there

RE: ***Game Thread*** MTSU
Just before the half, we went to try to find my daughter a sweatshirt, as it was really chilly in the shade.
While we were asking which color she preferred, she seemed annoyed. After a couple moments, I realized that she was annoyed because she heard that she missed a TD (which made me proud).
When I read the postgame articles, I was surprised to read that Shropshire had a long TD reception. Now that I watch the replay, I realize that’s the TD we missed.
My gosh, what a route, what a throw, what a TD

It wasn’t chilly on the east side, in the sun. Jeepers!
