I say we start hot but stumble down the stretch to 9-3

I agree. I actually think we beat liberty this year, and start off 5-0. Starting with Charlotte, I believe every game from the point forward can be a loss. That doesn’t mean I expect us to lose 7 in a row, before somebody goes there, I just think it gets tough at that point.

I’m going to say 9-3 as well.

I said 9-3 also. Lots of toss up games that could easily turn out to be Ls.

The last half of the schedule could be brutal with 4 of the last six on the road.

11-1 and if we stay healthy a real shot at running the table.

What I went with, call it a gut feeling. I'm not usually this kind of optimist but this is our time.

The games that truly worry me are LSU, UTSA and FAU. I think it’s reasonable to expect to win 2 of the 3. Unfortunately due to injuries or fatheads there’s a real chance of hacking up a hairball on one of what should be wins

Best base, 11 wins.
Worst case, 7 wins.

Swing games are: Liberty, UTSA, WKU, FAU.
Hard-to-read games are Charlotte and La Tech because those teams could be a lot better than projected.

The bookends of the last six games have me worried. I'm sure WKU and La Tech will have a special incentive to beat us considering we are leaving them behind in CUSA. If those two teams are playing well when UAB meets them I'm sure their fans will show up and show out to give us the proper exit out of the conference.

I will temper the optimism just a tad until we see it on the field, but the things are in place for a special season. Hearing Darion talk about how “clean” they look in practice gives me some encouragement they will finally knock off the bad penalties that cost at least 2 games last season and made 3-4 a lot harder than they needed to be.

of the 51 people who voted, I'm guessing that 50 would lower their guess...

I'm gonna move to 8-4, which feels very optimistic at this point
