RE: Predicting UAB Football wins and losses in the final season of CUSA.
I chose 8-4 because I was trying to be optimistic. I didn’t want Vincent to come back as OC during the return and I certainly didn’t want him to stick around into 2022 even with Clark at the helm. Sure as hell didn’t want him managing this team.
But I did give him a chance. I just didn’t see him doing better than 8-4 even if everything else lined up for him.

Here's my question or quandary,
I keep hearing how Vincent didn't have time to prepare for the season, but its the same team he was calling the plays for since 2017. Clark reportedly was a defensive guy so Vincent had control over the offensive schemes.
So how or what hasn't he had time to prepare for? All these losses are by 14 points or less on the road, so far. That's adjustments during the game that the defense seems to get but the offense doesn't.
What hasn't he had time to prepare for?
Im saying 7-5 at best/ 5-7 at worse. If you plan on going to LSU, go with realistic expectations.

Horseshit. He had since the end of last season to prepare, because he knew then he was going to be the head coach.
But your points are all correct. Even if being had coach was sprung on him this summer (it wasn't), the whole argument for him being interim was continuity. Same staff, same players, same playbook, etc. Whoever said that is just making excuses.

Exact point I made in another thread. It would be different if the defense was struggling but the offense was HIS for the past few years and into the summer. It would be different if Reeves was interim HC and Hinshaw was OC calling plays, but this is Vincent's offense for the past few years, his recruits, his players, his play calls.

And only 1 person chose 7-5 or worse (which I assume thought 7-5)
That's how much of a disappointment this season was. No one predicted we would be 6-6.

Naw, that one person was "THE LEGEND" and he probably was predicting 3-9.

So many offensive records broken yet such a disappointing season.
Doesn't matter if you get the ball on your 5 yard line and march it down 95 yards and then can't score in the red zone.

Wrong focus I think. Imagine we don’t fumble Liberty game away and Hopkins doesn’t go down for 3.5 games. I’ve seen Zeno play well, but he was pretty much a deer in headlights when game time came…his short-to-mid range was not completely accurate and he floated some deep balls that WRs - esp. Shrop with his size - had to win over DBs. I think, for a large part the staff had to coach around him. At least I could tell a difference in play calling when Zeno had the reins. IMHO…
