Exclamation Unbalanced offense
44 rushes 29 passes, more yards rushing than passing. Result the least exciting no the Most tedious Tiger victory I ever witnessed. If this continues I won't blame SH when he transfers next season. And CRS can expect more crowds like yesterday. Why would fans spend their money to be BORED at a football game? p.s. Still fewer the 200 yds rushing. The run game isn''t working because the OC has no imagination.

RE: Unbalanced offense
One thing I miss about Coach Norvell is him drawing up plays to put his playmakers in the best position to make big plays. That element is gone now. The offense is pretty unimaginative now.

I thought I read on here we Didn’t run the ball enough. The last quarter were all runs to run out the clock. If we would have thrown the ball , you would have called him an idiot for not running. CN is gone. Get over it

Only person that mentioned Mike Norvell is me so don't try and throw silly jabs. If the offense is boring and everyone can see it then the offense is boring.

You are not the only one or last one that will compare the coaches.

RE: Unbalanced offense
Going run first against North Texas made sense— they gave up 365 rushing yards against UNLV the week before.

Our offensive line is only giving us so much, which is problematic no matter the play calls

My biggest criticism so far is that we haven’t found creative ways to get the ball into our playmakers hands. Lewis, Scates, and Rogers need to get touches in space. We found so many different ways to involve Austin last year and we aren’t making the same effort this year

How many of the 44 rushes where in fact pass plays the QB had to scramble & show up as rushes on the stat sheet? I bet the play calling was close to 50/50.

Also, how many of the running plays where on our last two drives that sealed the win when running was absolutely the winning move?

But yes the offense struggled yesterday as a whole & had a lot to do with injuries & youth on the OLine, which has its own thread.

You and Keeper need to go and play in the corner together. See above post with our offensive rankings nationally. If you’re gonna moan and complain about us getting there with an offense that is “vanilla,” then you clowns need to figure out a more legitimate thing to cry about. Are y’all trying to be stupid? I am serious.

There's a whole lot more that 17 teams in the nation that have been playing cupcakes to open the season.

Let's see how it looks after UH (who is proving to be less than advertised).

And yours is the dumbest response. He's not saying we should have played different teams, he's explaining the reasons our rankings are so high.

I don't think anyone here has been saying we don't run enough. We've all been saying that Seth is the best player on the field, so let him make plays.

The problem is O-line play. UNT knew they could handle us with a 3- and 4- man rush. So they dared us to run, but we couldn't. Furthermore, Seth our 5- and 6- man blocking schemes couldn't handle the rush. So happy we got the win - but it is very frustrating to watch our O, when we are not slinging the ball around.

Dumb? You think schedule doesn't bear on performance stats, that's dumb.

Thank you. Through 4 games most of the top P5 programs have played 1 decent or good P5 team and the rest have been mostly cupcakes.

I think the tigers are a good offensive team but struggle subpar on third down completions. They go for the home run plays on first downs and either it’s a huge hit or huge miss

10, so almost 25% as I pointed out in another thread. Most of those involved Seth scrambling for his life.
