A couple of close games going so far. WKU is in a dogfight with Austin Peay, leading 21-17 in the 3rd quarter. Northwestern leads Nebraska 17-14 at halftime. In Ireland.

WKU lost a lot. A lot of players and their OC who only stayed a very brief time.

Took that WKU under 8.5 wins and its gona hit by mid October.

Vandy looks more competant than last year. Theyll need the NIU win to get over 2.5 wins.

Hawaii and NMSU are worse than anything in our conference so thats nice.

Yeah, Ohio had a rough go of it losing their coach 40 days before last season.

FSU hadnt started 1-0 since 2016. They now go on the road for 2 games. Its a confidence builder for a coach, program and fanbase that hasnt had a ton to cheer about lately.

Former OU QB Joe Mischler was the starter for Duquense.9

We usually get better as the year goes on under Helton, but we are going to need to majorly improve and soon. We are still heavily favored against Hawaii and they looked pretty bad against Vandy. After that things are looking real dicey. @IU is prolly a loss. Troy at home is sub 50/50 for us. @Auburn for sure a loss. In C-USA play we will have to take FIU and Rice and home and Charlotte on the road. Then we need to steal one from the rest of the schedule to hit 6. Fairly sure we can still go bowling at 6-7 since we played Hawaii but I don't know how excited I would be about it. Probably an overreaction on my part, lot of new pieces on both sides of the ball in week 0 and maybe we need a little more time in the oven to get on the same page.

Man - that's an embarrassing team to schedule. Could not believe when I saw that game on the card. North Carolina V Florida A&M where A&M they had 25 guys were ineligible was embarrassing as well.

First, I never ever said Ohio is in the same class, football-wise, with Florida State or any other P5 school. Second, I'm only going on the defensive because you provoked it with your completely unnecessary comment about Ohio football. Ken is a disgruntled EMU fan from the 1920's that is bitter toward most MAC schools. He's the type of football fan to somehow bring politics into the discussion when you're talking about a holding penalty. He is easily the most patronizing poster on this board. It is fun to engage with him at times though, just to see his response about CMU voting out EMU in 1974, the Jan 6th incident, how OU is not in the same class as FSU, etc.

He's the type of fan where his team gets waxed and he will say "we should have won." Yet when a team that he dislikes wins it's " they got lucky." Totally living in a different reality, but it's ok. He's our special fellow poster.
