Poll: What do you think about electronic tickets requirements at stadiums?
I prefer it. Count me a sheep headed for the boxcar.
Meh, either way is fine. I'm a moderate who voted for Bush and Clinton.
No way - I will not go. I will sit home with my tinfoil hat and my rabbit ears tv.

Exclamation e-tickets required
Time for a new poll! Focus on the general choice - not the color commentary.

My choice is not there. I'm going, but I'm not happy about it, and my not renew next year.

I don’t care either way. That being said, I miss adding to my old ticket stub collection from games & concerts.

I’m more concerned about the e parking pass and how much of a traffic jam it’s going to cause. Especially when you got the clowns who never pay attention and pull into the wrong lot, combined with the IQ of whomever is checking the phones

Yeah, I get the digital tickets, but a digital parking pass sounds like a nightmare. Plus, since all of the parking lots are connected and we don't have hangtags, you can scan into Blue and go park in Gold or ANYWHERE you want.

I think you missed the nature of some of the complaints. It's not that I object to e-tickets. I don't. I do object to not having the paper option.

If I had a group of 10, it would be a lot easier to hand everybody their paper ticket and see them later in the stands.

All that would require is being able to print out the e-ticket. Maybe you can do that?

Once it is in your wallet on the iPhone, you can bring up the ticket. It tries to do the NFC thing, but you can tap the info button and get a QR code. Screenshot that and print it and you're golden. I don't know if they'd accept the QR code or even if the readers they have CAN read QR codes, so there's still some risk involved.

Oh, I read the complaints. All 15 pages. And the comments about how this was a MAJOR issue that would disrupt many and run off larges masses of fans.
And there are 5 votes against it...

You're poll doesn't seem to account for me. I am in favor of e-tickets, but think support of some type of paper instrument is needed for some situations.

I mean, that's the current policy and process. Exceptions are sort of a given.

In a perfect world, I'd prefer the choice. I'd also prefer the option to pay cash for concessions. Heck, in a perfect world, I'd like to be able to bring items and barter at concession stands. But I also understand the business needs to minimize printing, expedite entry, and reduce cash handling. And I understand that if you draw a line here, then you are going to end up a starved hermit because this is where businesses are heading. So I'm a "#2" chooser.

From facepage:

I'm very disappointed in the University's new ticket policy. I'm told I must bring my phone to the game which I'm disinclined to do. They have offered to print tickets for me for a $50 fee, for tickets I've already paid for. I've held season tickets continuously since Rex Dockery and had season tickets prior to that. Have been a donor for 30 or 40 years. And now they're telling me what I have to do with my phone.

This is also my biggest concern. There were several cars with blue lot passes in the striped lot last year for multiple games. Will also be interesting how they handle since some folks, like myself, prefer to tailgate for as much of the day as I can, which is before they "officially" open the parking lots.
