Conference schedules are released. I’d post the picture, but I can’t figure out this site.
UTA has away trips to ACU, GCU and NMSU. The have home games against Cal Baptist, Southern Utah and Utah Tech. They have gone and always against everyone else.
Can’t say that excites me, away trips to the two hardest atmospheres and no home days against ACU.

A quick glance tells me the WAC tried to put best on best for as many home & home games as they could schedule.
Which is awesome.

dont see these match-ups generating much interest and then folks will say UTA doesnt draw well. the game against Texas State over at Dickies arena might get a good crowd but wont be a home game.

Just looking at Sam Houston's schedule, they were able to maintain home-and-homes with every Texas program which is a win for sure. Looks like the other Texas schools have home-and-homes with everyone of the Texas schools minus one.

we started playing them 50 years ago when they were USL. some games had pretty good crowds. understandable that app state basketball wouldnt draw many in Texas. probably dont even have any alumni in the area. probably about as many as Seattle

Seattle has been unable to generate the fan interest while in the WAC that they initially garnered when they returned to D1 basketball back in 2010. In 2011, Seattle averaged 4,614 per game. Back then Seattle U was using the KeyArena for every home game. However, Cameron Dollar pretty much killed all that initial fan interest with his Redhawk team's lackluster performances. Dollar was a big name without much coaching ability. Last season was by far Seattle's strongest team since returning to D1. This season, we will see if Chris Victor is legit as a D1 head coach or simply riding the coat tails of Hayford and the recruiting foundation he had established prior. Dawson, Schumacher, Lloyd, Reiley, and Grante-Haliday is Victor's first recruiting class. We will see if any of these players will make a similar impact to what some of Hayford's players did prior... i.e. Terrell Brown Jr. and Darrion Trammell.
As for UTA, Scott Cross was starting to gain some fan interest with his team's performance. However, since his departure the inroads he made with UTA fan support has started dropping off again.

I hope Seattle continues their success and we start having success again, this is a series I would enjoy. I think that the whole WAC is really a decent basketball conference. New Mexico state is going to be a huge loss for the conference, so we are going to have to step it up to help soften the blow.

That would be great to see. UTA has potential, but hasn’t put it together. NMSU is a loss, but “huge” is a little far fetched. 1 bid league, remains a 1 bid league. Now, if the conference were to remain together with NMSU, maybe years down the line, it could have been “a lot better”.

That season, there was no D2 home games and over 11,000 attended the Washington game. Helping the average quite a bit.

Agreed, which is more my overall point. Attendance smack amongst "mid-majors" is like putting lipstick on a pig. Almost all of us (to some degree or another) are one major bad hire away from losing the attendance race. Schools that win, draw more than schools that don't. Easy to understand.
Scott Cross brought a winning style and expectation to a program that totaled a hair less than a .400 winning percentage in its history when he started. He brought it up over .50 points when he was fired after three straight 20 win seasons. Fans stopped attending games strictly because of that.
If UTA gets back to that, and sustains it as Cross did, attendance will be back up the upward trend. As it is, we were first or second in two other team sports and top half in every other sport. Our dedicated fan base is there. We just have to give the others somethingto believe in, like every other program in the country.
