Depends on plant based foods, I guess. Impossible/beyond meats are, as you say, loaded with salts and processed pea protein, so it also has nitrites in it.
Soy based patties arent disguised as meat and have less crappy junk in them. Seitan, Tempeh, and Soy patties are quite a bit healthier than beyond/impossible/real

Yep, even replicating the color/tastes of meat involves genetically modifying certain proteins. So, basically any plant based meat is a GMO based product.

Exactly, but nobody is pushing those, they're pushing the impossible meats. I was curious and was going to get some one day and try out, when I saw the laundry list of ingredients I decided to just pick up a pack of hamburger meat and make my own.

I tend to agree, but I'd bet lots of money that there are lots of people that are anti GMO that are pro plant based meats. It's simply a lack of awareness, IMO.

There is some truth to this. There are some (very pricey) products that aren't as bad for you.
The majority of these types of products offered by chain restaurants are straight garbage.

My wife is a pescetarian so I have tried, or eaten, my far share of vegetarian foods. So I wanted to share a pic of our soysage in the freezer.
Not a lot of words I don't recognize. Methylcellulose is one I had to look up, but the rest are in boatloads of foods. Not health food, for sure and we've had that packet for months, since she doesn't really like meat knock-offs, but... They aren't that bad tasting, from the one I had.
I'd rather have livermush, personally than sausage (real or fake).
Now, the Fakeon (Fake bacon) in the freezer has a chemistry set in it.

Anybody telling someone this is healthier is straight up lying. Mixed Seed oils, sugars (maltodextrin) yeast extract (MSG), methylcellulose (thickening agent that can cause bowl problems [stoppage] and stomach cramps) off the top of my head are some of the worst combination in a food item

Do you know me? I don't give my board name out at tiger Lane so I don't think so. There's an octogenarian here who claims to be an Alpha male with Superior genetics and who likely wants to fight me. I don't need an elder abuse charge. So no I don't give out my real name. And while I'm thinking about it there was a grossly overweight redneck on the tiger board who wants to fight me. In fact he posted a picture of himself together with the challenge. I suppose his mountain of conservative fat was supposed to intimidate me. So no you don't know who I am. It was just a guess. A lucky one.

Dude, you really are clueless. It's obvious you believe that stuff by the arrogant way you talk about it, the phrases you use, the name-calling, the obvious disdain for opinions that contradict your own, etc.
I don't have to know you to understand that. And I don't have to make a lucky guess. It's called reading comprehension 101.
Why you said all that other silly BS is beyond me, b/c it has zero to do with me. And I don't give a rat's ass about knowing who you are. In fact, I would absolutely prefer not to know.
In fact, I'm sad you're a Tiger fan, based on the way you treat people online.

But that assumes that it is the right thing. You are sanctimoniously attempting to seize the moral high ground unilaterally, without justifying the moral superiority that you are claiming.
