.

Some, such as Memphis and Navy, and to some extent Wichita State are already considered well-known athletic brands.

Since there will be some 10+ win FB programs and 20+ win MBB programs in the AAC a few years after Cincy, Houston, and UCF switch to the Big 12, it seems likely that some of the other AAC schools will emerge as brands over the next decade.

It’s hard to deny the growth potential Tulane has. People want academics and markets and we have plenty of both. Our rise will be meteoric. I also think Memphis will have a shot too. The academics are a little eh but they bring a market and a great national basketball brand.

Agree that Tulane has the potential to become a national brand. Former power school (SEC) from one of the nation's great cities, with a rising MBB program.

If Tulane football can get back on track the way it was a couple of years ago, there's nothing to stop them from becoming a national brand.

In addition, Tulane's unique name "The Green Wave" and being located near the longitudinal center of the continental U.S. could help them establish a national brand with viewership to the east and west.

Navy is already a National brand.

Let’s move away from the 2.0 thing. That sounds too much like CUSA. I haven’t heard or read the Big XII refer to themselves that way.

I’m personally excited about the future of the conference.

Not so sure how I feel about the future of college football though.

There is no AAC 2.0

There is the AAC and there are plenty of schools in the league that have the strength to become National names.

Voted Charlotte and UTSA, great markets and tons of potential. I missed clicking on UAB, but would include them as well. Memphis and SMU I don’t consider long for AAC, so don’t see them as part of a potential 2.0.

We're Carnegie R1 now. What's "eh" about that?

Aside from the leftovers.. UAB, UTSA, and North Texas will make a strong push. Not saying the others won't, but I think those three might have the best possibilities.

The programs that pay the best NIL money will be the strongest brands. So, probably SMU... if they are still around.

As if the presence of UC/UCF/UH were holding any of these guys back.

If any of these yokels were ever going to be anything, they'd have done so by now.

Must suck having a g5 school with more money to pay players than your “p5” school

SMU: Has the money to recruit (it may already be doing it)

Navy: Already a national brand

Memphis: Has shown the ability, just not given the chance

ECU: Has shown the ability to beat A5 schools, but needs to win the conference
