Maybe they deal better with the fanatic posters.
I think they’re called “fans” for short.
not what I call them, but that's either here nor there...
Did not intend to be complimentary with the term. Yes, I know the etymology of the word "fan." And yes, there are other derogatory terms that better fit. The point remains that there is a contingency, who consistently post about every topic on this board. These few litter conversations with self agrandizing quips. They are not Memphis Tiger fanatics.
They are MemphisTigers.org fanatics, who live and breathe every moment of every day on this board. It is this neurotic behavior that ruins any meaningful conversation about our Memphis Tigers.

Not to mention, according to SP+, we were the 5th luckiest team in the country that year. Remember his other miraculous comeback against the mighty USF Bulls? The game where we had to score 2 TD's in the last 2 minutes to win by a point? Probably not.
Thank you. You saw what I saw. Then I predicted 6 wins and was called every name in the book by the "defenders of the faith" here. What did we have, 6 wins. i even made a bet that i would change my icon to eeyore if i was wrong.
Im predicting 4 this year. I sincerely hope I get to eat a big plate of crow.
the O line was decimated. Think that played a part in 6-6? Brandon Thomas at one point was the leading rusher in FBS, and he got injured. (Major concussion? wasn't the same player after that.)
We couldn't run the ball like we wanted to.
Seth got injured and didn't start all of his games, think he couldn't have helped?
Hawaii pulled out of the bowl game because of Covid 19. As a team, they were demoralized. Every player on that team absolutely despised former head coach and Mike Norvell mentor Todd Graham They would have folded up and died in that bowl game...Memphis could have gone out on a 7-6 high note.
Think that didn't also impact the 6-6 season?
There was a lot we couldn't control last year. Try to remember that.
You know I just went to the college FB records for last season---the only thing about any of the above I could find anywhere was 6-6----that's all that the world remembers . Try to remember that---because thats what will go down in history-----zero of the other things you listed were even there --the college FB archive people must be miserable TIGER RS haters
I honestly don't know how you function talking nonsense like this. EVERYONE remembers that DeAngelo didn't play against Tennessee in a heartbreaking loss. EVERYONE remembers that Hudgens and Byrne got hurt, and our best wide receiver ended up playing quarterback.
EVERYONE understands that we would have been a much better team if Vaughan doesn't get hurt, if Gray and Alexander were eligible. Do you think that the team would have been exactly the same if Wiseman would have played the entire season?
People just look at the score in the Kansas game and say that we lost? They don't remember anything about the game? How could anyone be so dense?
Literally NOBODY only remembers the end result, nobody would claim something so lacking in common sense. Only you.

However, if I’m mistaken and we have another 6-6 or worse season I will admit I was wrong and it will be time to move on to a new coach. Again, I don’t think that’s going to happen and I hope all the doom and gloom pumpers are able and willing to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Gonna be lots of it this fall.
He needs to be 4-1 going into the Houston game. Losing to only Mississippi St.

Responding directly to your unintentional stand up comedy act.
1. Nobody remembers that DeAngelo didn't play against UT? Yes or No?
2. DeAngelo not playing made no difference in the final outcome, we were the same team with or without him. Yes or No?
Looking forward to your response; keep the clown show alive.

RE: Best Recruiting Class In School History 3 Years In a Row?
Find one comment where I've called a FB coach or player by some demeaning name. I simply stated our 3-5 in-conference record from last season & some of you guys go ballistic. Stating the record is only negative if you are afraid to accept reality. Excuses are just excuses & don't change reality. Ironically the crowd that objects to name calling is only too quick to make their objections personal resorting to the same childish name calling they criticize. Grow up.
Further, the reality is that if our university accepts a practice of anything less that conference championships, we are doomed to being disappointed as additional schools will pass us by.

"accept reality"--thats the problem Atlanta--HE/they would rather PRETEND and make EXCUSES as you say--they/HE ALWAYS play the IF ONLY PRETEND game instead of the REALITY FACT game---------------his shtick is rudely insulting attacking fellow TIGER fans posters and REPEATING things about posters that are 100% untrue-which the posters have repeatedly said are untrue --but he continues to repeat just to antagonize poster

Thought I would catch up on this thread about the great recruiting classes. Since the anti Tigers have taken over another thread neither of the last 2 pages has anything about the great recruiting job CRS is doing. Is anyone else getting tired of this crap? I come here to enjoy Tiger talk, but that is getting harder and harder to do.

I agree. I can’t figure why demeaning the coach, team, university accomplishes anything . Some posters brag bc they are predicting a 4-8 season. I don’t get it. They want the university to do bad so it will make them feel better. I am not saying 14-0 but I wager that we win over 4.

As previously stated, the bare minimum for wins, especially this year with our schedule is 8. Couple that with the topic thread, which has been touched on, anything less than 8 is an absolute failure. Three historic recruiting classes, which is a huge compliment to the staff to only underperform on the field with historic talent would prove it's time to make a coaching change. Win more than 8 games this year and approach 9-10, as they say, I'm "all-in" and will give credit where it's due.
However, with what I've seen, the eye test proves he is not the man for the job. You used to feel energized with Fuente & Norvell, now, it feels like nap time watching & listening to our coach. I hope I am proven wrong, but we do not need to waste any more time on this emotional hire if we do not win 8+ games this season. We have too much talent, again, according to thread topic to accept mediocrity. We should sleep walk to bowl eligibility with this historically weak schedule.
