Beginning in 2023 we likely will play 9 B12 games meaning:

2024 one open slot
2026 one game too many
2027 one slot open
2028 one slot open
2030 three slots open
2031 two slots open

How about LSU so we can beat Lyin Brian again.
No more Redskins except at home once current tell is over.
UK at PBS.
UL home and away.
Memphis home and away.
AFA and Navy home and away.

RE: What OOC team would you like to play in the future?
Miami is now a perfect fit with Big 12 schedule and from what I’ve seen very beneficial to UC financially.

Louisville plain and simple for me. If not Louisville then wouldn’t mind Memphis, Michigan St, or Kentucky.

Any big name program. Notre Dame will probably never play us again after last year. I like LSU, Texas, Georgia, Michigan. I hate when UC and Ohio State play but it works once a decade.

I like to play some of these ACC wussies that are supposedly so superior to us.

FSU, UNC, UVA and of course Louise-ville.

No thanks to VT, GT, the U and BC. Seen enough of them. And to the BE backstabbers Pitt and Cuse, don't even ask.

RE: What OOC team would you like to play in the future?
Kentucky will never play us...they need the MAC OOC games to make up their 8 win seasons.

UL won't really have the ability to schedule us now that the Governor's Cup is basically being run in perpetuity.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for us to play the service academies anymore...please God no.

I think you'll see us schedule a ton of games against mid level ACC and Big Ten teams in home and homes.

I’ve always wanted us to get Georgia Tech and Northwestern on the schedule. Atlanta and Chicago are two markets the program recruits strongly out of, plus we have a number of alumni who live nearby both cities.

Before the destruction of the Big East and the BCS Era, Whit Babcock got Purdue to agree to a four game series with us. After the BCS blew up Purdue dropped two of those games. I wonder if they or Indiana would be interested in doing this down the line.

Top half of the Big Ten. We live, recruit and fight for media attention in their shadow, so let's start beating them. OSU is the obvious, though they'll never give us an annual game. So Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa. Play one of them every year, and the wins will come.

And now that we're B12, there's no reason that we can't try and schedule Louisville and Pitt on a regular basis. The Ohio River rivalries are naturales.

We have Pitt scheduled for a series.

Bolded, if any of those can be scheduled I think our fans would welcome a series given the visibility of the B10 in this region. Ditto, games with Pitt and Louisville, not because they are ACC, but for the regional interest.

The good news is, headliner non-conference games move from need to have to nice to have when Big 12 play begins in 15 months. A full slate of AAC games combined with FCS and/ or MAC teams pre-conference didn't exactly inspire a ticket buying frenzy for most Cincinnatians. We'll likely see ranked visiting teams from the B12 every year. UC has already been selling out UCF and Houston games and the stakes will be even higher with those opponents now that the Bearcats have a more certain pathway to the NY6 bowl than ever before.

Louisville - just once. I want that d@mn3d Keg of Nails back. We had it for over five years running before Bridgewater stole it on a ridiculous Hail Mary pass at the end of the game. D'Ville then went off to other things in that other league.

Bolded, can't argue with that! In my lifetime as a Bearcat fan, I still consider Louisville our biggest rival in basketball and football and this pause in the series has been disappointing. My guess is they are none too eager to take on the Bearcats in football these days. In another year or so, they may feel the same way about tangling with Wes Miller's guys.

RE: What OOC team would you like to play in the future?
I would like to see the road portion of any new FB schedule additions be drive-able. It has been a few years now, but I really enjoyed our trip up to Purdue. Nice campus, friendly fans, plenty of room in the stadium. (Stadium was nothing special, bench seats, but it was clean.) Added it to a Chicago trip, and found an inexpensive motel an hour away and a nice breakfast in West Lafayette. This was my idea of a good (spousal) road trip.

I did not go to Indiana or ND (spousal covid fears), but I love UC giving me the opportunity.

Bolded, that's a good thought and I agree. As the footprints seem to continue to grow for conferences, we don't have any easy road trips in the Big 12, save maybe West Virginia. And from what I've heard about Morgantown it's not that friendly a place for visiting fans.

With that in mind, we have about eight P5 programs in contiguous states (excluding B12 WV) and getting some multi-year deals with any of those schools would make for high fan interest and no more than six hours driving time. Will those schools be more willing to play UC as a Big 12 member? I recall the B10 a few years ago saying they were requiring non-conference games to be against P5 schools and at that time, UC and UCONN had games scheduled with IU and were grandfathered in. Was that a wish, not a rule? Has it since changed?

In an ideal world, your list would be high interest and create good chatter among fans for bragging rights--B12, ACC, and B10. Sprinkle in an occasional headliner game that TV wants, such as the two game set with UCLA a few years ago, and there would be no complaining about the occasional MAC or FCS opponent to fill out the home slate.

Love to play VA home/away.

Nice wineries in area, especially THE TRUMP WINERY. Then drive on to Colonial Williamsburg.

Virginia unlikely to schedule the Bearcats. They are more than a bit snooty. On the other hand, UC and Virginia Tech have now played multiple times in both regular season and bowl games. Virginia Tech is a lunch pail/hard hat culture with hot dogs, tater tots and beer. UVA is fois gras and white wine and goat cheese.

Sauterne (dark white) should be drunk with fois gras. I hate goat cheese as it is often too gamey for my taste. I guess our buddy Babcock is still at VT.

That would be a nice early fall trip.

We’ve played Tech 12 times. A head scratching stat, Louisville (who has been in a conference with them since 2014) had only played the Hokies 8 times, and only once since they joined the ACC. It’s a product of having 14 team teams and two divisions.

I’m sort of burned out on playing Virginia Tech. It seems like we match up with them in a bowl game once every four years or so.
