Zelensky followed those comments by this month attempting to put a figure to the total that Ukraine needs, citing a ballpark $600 billion to rebuild. "I’m sure after victory we will do everything quite fast, and Ukraine will be more beautiful than before," he remarked a week ago during a virtual appearance before The Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit in London.
The United States has pledged to provide a third of that sum, which would leave €10 billion uncovered. The Commission briefed EU ambassadors Friday on a plan to bridge that gap, which would entail the Commission issuing debt on the back of guarantees provided by EU countries. That's similar to the so-called SURE program used during the pandemic to raise funds for the short-term unemployed, the diplomats said.
At the time, the Commission asked €25 billion in guarantees to raise €100 billion.

Zelensky has 15 movies/shows to his credit on IMDb. That includes 51 episodes of one show and 8 episodes of another. He won the Ukrainian presidential election in a landslide in 2019. Are you saying actors turned president can’t be good presidents? Ronald Reagan has 84 movies to his credit on IMDb and would like a word.

FFS comparing him to Reagan is as asinine as comparing him to Washington. Reagan was the governor of Cali before it went to shite and president of the union for his profession. Zelinsky is a dipshite EU Soros puppet that did nothing as Russia slid its pecker down his throat.

get off the facebook and read a real book
And Washington was a slave owning beer brewer who married into wealth. Do you have no faith a man can “see the light” and become the leader needed at a critical time? Maybe you have become too cynical.

While you're correct that no Western country was going to invade Russia, it certainly isn't true that there is nothing there anyone wants. Few if any countries have more natural resources than Russia, just look at the difficulty the West is having effectively sanctioning them due to Europe's dependence on Russian oil & gas. Todor has a point, military conflict & occupation are not the only routes to "control" and Russia also doesn't want to be told what to do by the West because of economic dependence. There is paranoia involved here, but it stems from the reality of Russia being invaded from Europe historically, and the knowledge that they do indeed have much the world needs.

I agree with your assessment on Putin and his war machine. HOWEVER, it appears that your are saying that Putin is the exception to the rule of otherwise more measured and disciplined leaders in the majority of other countries. Putin is not the exception, and sadly most NATO leaders are just like Putin.
U.S.: Democrats and Biden use the MSM as their own propaganda arm plus use Big Tech to supress info that contradicts their views and posiitions
Canada: Trudeau suppressed a peaceful protest and used a compliant media plus the aparatus of gov't to squash it - all because it disagrees with his positions and views
Australia: You see what has been going on in that country - draconian control of the populace by the gov't
Free speech limits by virtually all western countries: You see how this is playing out where Europe, Canada, Australia and by proxy (thru big tech) the suppression of "hate" speech...
The majority of the world has been using Covid as an excuse seize more gov't control in order to suppress (oppress?) people.
Surely you see that there is a huge difference between "attempting to control the media narrative" and "starting an endless war merely to leave a legacy for the motherland."

Is that really your best source? The only name that article lists is Aiden Aslin.
Aslin is a dual British-Ukrainian citizen, has a Ukrainian fiance, and has been in the Ukrainian Marines for four years. He's clearly not fighting as part of an organized UK effort.
You're starting out pretty far behind if that's your best piece of evidence.
And you hadn’t either bother to google it to see if there was any evidence and are here stating with all the confidence in the world what is true. I have you something to your level. Sorry, but that’s all you’ll get from me until I know that even bother to look yourself. You just aren’t worth more than that because you aren’t truly interested.
If Russia does have nato country citizens as pows and I believe they do, they are not interested in simply using them to win todays “gotcha” challenge on the internet. If I were Russia, I would keep them and keep them secret as long as possible. The west will have to admit they were sent there in order to ask Russia for them back. Why would Russia announce anything?
So to be clear: you are of the opinion that Aslin was a member of the British military and his (all-British) unit was ordered to Mariupol by the British government. Is that correct? If that's your position, I'm genuinely curious what other evidence there is to support it.
Remember, if Aslin was there individually (even if he was sent by the British government), then that would mean that his presence there is NOT evidence of NATO troops doing the majority of fighting for Ukraine. Unless you think NATO is so powerful that individual NATO soldiers are powerful enough to stop whole Russian battalions.
And also, you are of the opinion that Russia isn't interested in controlling the media narrative.
How do you explain the fact that Russia has shut down all opposition news outlets?

Occupied and kept is debatable. We've overthrown a lot of governments and then made "security agreements" with the new governments that provide for permanent military bases and allow our companies to extract resources. We may not hold much territory in our names but we definitely control them. We have 700 military bases all over the world. That's insane.
We don't invade to take over countries. We know that it is a fool's errand requiring lots of manpower to keep them subdued and you'll rarely succeed in changing the culture to suit yourself. But getting security agreements so our big businesses can rape them, yeah I'll agree.
Mostly, our intelligence services have run Color Revolutions all over the world to install puppets friendly to the U.S. Do it covertly in other words.
And in eerie timing, the man I'd say has the best claim to being Ukraine's George Washington has just died. Former President Leonid Kravchuk, who led Ukraine to independence when the USSR crumbled -

Yes Putin is a kleptocrat of unimaginable power to steal from his people. I read somewhere (I don’t remember where so no link) that he and his cronies have stolen a trillion US dollars from the Russian people. A TRILLION DOLLARS. Ukrainians corruption is pale in comparison.

No, we don't. We may have military personnel at 700 locations around the world, but the vast majority of those locations are not bases in any sense of the world. Many of them are onesies and twosies serving as military attaches at embassies and things like that.
That is not to say that we don't have a number of bases that could and should be closed. A pretty good, but somewhat dated, list of bases that should be closed is at http://www.g2mil.com/OBCL.htm.
