In your nightmares is Zappe usually holding a clipboard?

You must not follow FBS football. Bailey broke a couple of pretty noticeable records this season. 04-jawdrop
Haven’t really payed attention to FBS ball since Sumlin was doing his thing at UH. Better days for CUSA. Not surprising to hear he broke records, he always put up gaudy numbers in the FCS. Hope he gets a shot in the league.

He broke both the NCAA passing yards and passing TDs record in a season.

Willis is a steal for the Titans - same with Zappe. Will be interesting to see those two progress in the League...

I am not about to attempt to post all the Free Agents - congrats to all those as well, of course! 04-cheers

As a Titans season ticket holder, I certainly hope you're correct

To replace Hoyer yes, for actually playing in any games no. Mac Jones pretty durable seems like but Zappe should be a career back up for a long time.

Here’s a really good UDFA tracker for CUSA players at one of the Rice sites.

https://attheroost.com/2022/04/30/confer...a-tracker/

He’s got 23 guys listed so far.

Elijah Garcia at the Rams is the only Rice player on his list

His height will likely be a factor in this. I never say never with these guys though. He’s a winner, and he’s an accurate passer. I’m not 100% on how strong his arm is, but he has enough interesting qualities to make you take a flier. If he can be a more capable backup than Hoyer, that would make me very happy.

Smart choice by NE, The Zapper will be the next Tom Brady, you can bank on it. He's a tremendous player. I'll be keeping my eye on it.

As a NFL QB? Yeah.

Taller than Russel Wilson, Kyler Murray, and Drew Brees. Not saying he fits the prototypical mold, but there have been plenty of QBs in the NFL 6' and under.

That doesn't make him not short for an NFL QB, just taller than the handful of <6' QBs that have been successful in the NFL.

Why? Zappe is not challenging Mac Jones for that job.

You and I must feel very differently about Bailey and Mac. I think Mac is overrated and Bailey is vastly underrated.

Mac Jones who finished second in the AP offensive rookie of the year last year? That Mac Jones is overrated?

He will not be. What makes TB12 so great is how pocket awareness and quick release among other things. If you watched him play you would see he is the complete opposoite. He sits there and always goes for the deep ball, only to get sacked when plenty of stuff underneath was available. He will be the next Mike White. Back up and one day light up the Bengals.

Let me guess you saw Zappy, twice? Other wise you are 100% blind on they type of passes Zappy throws. Not only that but Zappy was one of the least sacked QBs and considering the number of passes he threw and Zappy not being a runner, I would bet Zappy is at the top of list for pocket passers .

Its almost sounds like you are talking about some other qb

How many QBs UTSA have in the league? Or Drafted? What I thought..

I don't see how that counters anything that he said, or what the number of QBs someone's school has put into the league has to do with their ability to evaluate a QB.

They may be completely wrong on their evaluation of Zappe, but UTSA's QB pedigree has nothing to do with that.
