IDK. To add an addendum. I have NO idea what any of his criteria are.

In a round about way, there is a huge difference between Pullman, WA and Washington, D.C., yet he lists Washington State and Georgetown. G'town is wine and cheese and is a very cosmopolitan city. Pullman, WA is just across the border from Moscow (Idaho). The nearest 'big' city is Spokane and that is a long drive. I don't think there is much of anything within an hour drive of Pullman.

Bates seems like the perfect player for DePaul.

There isn't much near Pullman. When Alex took his official visit to Washington, one of the things that turned him off was the seclusion of Pullman from much of anything else. The drive from the airport to campus was about two hours. At the time the coaches were pushing the fact that Pullman was in the process of constructing a regional airport, so it would be easier to get to Pullman once it was completed. Basically, "We may be in the middle of nowhere, but it will be easier to get here."

Thank you for your insights. Never been to Pullman and it isn't on my bucket list.

Best selling point is that maybe someone can see Moscow from the top floor of a dorm, if that means anything.

And for those geographically challenged I'm talking about Moscow (IDAHO).

That said, the airport I assume dad refors is Spokane which is the home of Gonzaga. Now if someone is 7 feet tall, wants to play on a very high caliber MBB team, the Zags meet the criteria.

I'm going to make a pivot. SOME student athletes do better in the middle of no where. One comes to mind. A fmr. EMU MBB player had tons of talent, was from Detroit, and couldn't stay out of Detroit. He would have done better say at CMU or some college at least say 100 - 150 miles from Detroit.

Some players need a divorce or at least separation from their home town... esp. if it is the type of area where it is easy to get into trouble.

Looks like UofM is going to have scholarships available……Emoni might slide into Juwans hands.

Emoni NIL value is $350k according to a transfer portal site. The only way Emoni comes to EMU is if Game Above steps in and works out a $400,000 deal.

It would be money well spent and you would finally see the George Gervin GA arena sold out.

GA collects $20 a ticket for each fan after 2000 in attendance. So $20 x 6000 = $120000 per game. Payback in 3.5 games…..you get my point.

My view: It is May and we are still in the hunt. We're probably in better shape with Emoni than over 350 D-I schools. How about that for Sunshine!!
