What this would do, as we have discussed, is solidify two positions and allow Heath to go for one more star presumably in the transfer portal.

I always say in the NBA a team needs 3 impact players. Similar would work in college ball.

Need someone who can push and create; a wing who can run and finish and a post presence player.

It is much easier to get the 3rd if you already have the first two. Recruits can see there is championship caliber talent coming together.

When I saw Caleb Love play for UNC this season , i said he’s a sure thing NBA player and he will declare early for the draft. He averaged 16 ppg as a sophomore guard against ACC competition that would easily translate to NBA success.

I was in that crowd sitting a few rows behind Izzo, Juwan Howard, Jalen Rose, Rob Murphy, and an assortment of other college basketball coaches. Detroit Douglass played in one of the earlier games with Javantae Randle and Pierre Brooks.

Emoni had a bad game. It was like he was trying to do it all by himself. That might be understandable considering Lincoln had just graduated about 5 key players from a state championship team. Lincoln did have freshman Braelon Green, who is now a top shelf recruit.

Rouge played well and clearly had a game plan to play very physical with Emoni. It worked.

Six years in college with a typical athlete major field of study of "Communications". Perhaps he is getting a double major in "Sports Management" as well. I don't begrudge the guy for staying in East Lansing in his mid-twenties, most guys don't get the opportunity to do so and he clearly has no other opportunity to play basketball on a big stage anywhere else in North America.

He is not staying for the education, he just wants to pay meaningful basketball for another year and is holding out the slim hope that he can follow his brother to the NBA. Honestly I'm Ok with that, just don't hide behind academics.
