Yep, RIP to Gilbert Gottfried. He got canceled as the Aflac Duck about 10 years ago after making a few jokes on twitter after Japan got hit with a tsunami. Obviously he was in many movies such Problem Child 1 and 2 but he also did some voice acting in The Fairy OddParents, Ren and Stimpy and Aladdin.

Gottfried reportedly dies of ventricular tachycardia (V-tach or VT): a fast heart rate arising from the lower chambers of the heart. Ventricular tachycardia may result in ventricular fibrillation (VF) and turn into cardiac arrest.

Wonder if he got the jab and/or boosters?

gee whiz he was relatively young. What happened?

NY Islanders legend Mike Bossy dead at only 65

Quote:...terminal lung cancer. Bossy’s diagnosis became public last October, when he stepped away from his job as an NHL analyst for the French language network TVA Sports to deal with his health.

He finished his career with 573 goals, scoring over 50 in nine straight seasons, an all-time record. Famously, he scored 50 goals in 50 games during the 1980-81 season, matching Maurice “Rocket” Richard’s record.

Of his scoring, former teammate Chico Resch told Sports Illustrated in 1981 that Bossy “scores goals as naturally as you and I wake up in the morning and brush our teeth.”

He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991, with a list of accolades that includes eight All-Star appearances, three Lady Byng trophies, the 1981-82 Conn Smythe Trophy and the 1977-78 Calder Trophy.

Speaking on Friday following Bossy’s death, Resch said there were two players on the dynastic Islanders teams of the early 1980s that would have been irreplaceable: Bossy and defenseman Denis Potvin.

“Because those guys were the elite. They were the game-changers,” Resch said. “And we knew it. When I could see Boss sitting across the room and that look on his face, if he hadn’t scored, I just thought, ‘Oh boy, look out.’ ”

Bossy is the third Dynasty-era Islander to die this year. Fellow Hall of Famer Clark Gillies died at 67 in January, while former Islanders defenseman and radio broadcaster Jean Potvin died at 72 last month.

Wow. Sad to hear. Vaya Con Dios, Boss.

Hi-5's Roderick "Pooh" Clark, Dead at 49

In 95, the group were on a tour, and was involved in a car crash on a way to do an interview. Clark was paralyzed from the waste down.

As a Bruins fan, it doesn't hurt me quite as much as it may hurt you.

He was a damn good player though.

Blues fan here, but no doubt about it, we lost a great one in Lafleur.

May he rest in peace!

Blues fan since the franchise was formed in 1967, long before Stars moved to Dallas.
