He's experienced at fighting 2nd-rate-conference perceptions. Without UT and OU, Big12 will need someone lobbying to keep Big12 at the big table.

Aresco has been great for us.

I think Aresco is too old.

I have my doubts about how pro Memphis he is as AAC Commish.

This is me...and I would LOVE to be proven wrong here, but I think the Big 12 dream died with the expansions the first go around. I know they keep saying there will be more but I don't see it happening.

I agree. I think our ship has sailed.

I didn't even know we had a ship!!

IF an announcement is made that we are going to build our own stadium, THEN we can be assured that a Big XII bid will be forthcoming. If that announcement is not made, I will be very discouraged about future prospects in that regard.

Some fairly well connected folks believe that the stadium announcement will be made before the end of the month. I hope and pray they are right.

It's owned by the city, but they let us use it on Saturdays (and sometimes Thursdays and Fridays)...

We wouldn't be building a stadium without assurances that we are in. If we get the invite before the end of May, we would be able to give notice and join at the same time as the others.
