I think they outplayed NE. They fought hard and took control. I believe this will really help them with confidence and having that 0-7 monkey off their back. I am expecting they will play even better Sunday!!

Good news is that neither Minnesota or Umass have goaltending like Duluth / Northeastern but they each have a ton of offensive firepower.

First period yes, 2nd no, 3rd it was pretty even.

The refs let ALOT go and Northeastern was very physical.

Not sure if that wore us down.

I know the guys don't think about it much or dwell on it but getting that first NCAA tourney win will stop all the Q. about it. Time to move on and focus on continuing to advance.

Yeah, it was a really steady effort by both teams. We didn't take many penalties or give away any pucks. Northeastern played a great physical game against us.

We're not going to see a goalie like that next round. Either way, Minnesota or UMass will be a tough match-up. I'd prefer to see Minnesota just so we don't have to face another Massachusetts team @ home.

Looks like the 15 year streak is about to be over this weekend.

AIC looks like a club team out there vs scum, its been a PP in their zone for almost the entire first period.

If that goalie had a black blocker, we might still be playing.

Congratulations to WMU players, coaches, staff and fans. I'm so happy for their first win, but let's keep this going.

NE surprised me, especially their physical part of the game. We new Levi was going to be a tough nut to crack.

I’m curious if the guys are gonna be more physical in the next game if the refs are the same. NE was getting away with way more physicality than NCHC refs would ever allow. The Broncos were being very cautious about penalties.
