I love DDJ

Unless UC beats SMU on Thursday they are likely going to be the 8 seed in the conference tournament. Yikes.

Take SMU and give the points whatever it is.

This isn’t just a bad roster. It’s a bad roster filled with bad pieces.

It's starting to not even bother me when they lose. Apathy may be setting in

This game showed the potential we have. We competed with Houston on defense and on the glass. Still a lot to clean-up, but it's why I believe this roster can be competitive next year without adding a bunch of transfers.

The biggest things that killed us were FT's and TO's. DDJ had 6 TO's, most of which were relatively unforced. Saunders added three, can't have your guards throwing the ball away.

Oh yeah and Davenport. White dominated Davenport. Davenport was physically, mentally and athletically outmatched.

Ody, Newman and Hensley had excellent games, minus missed FT's. Lakhin needs to get more minutes as well.

Overall I'm happy with the game despite the final score. Gives some hope that we can beat SMU. I don't think the refs will do as much to give SMU the game as they do with Houston.

In the last 30 years have we had a guard as bad at shooting as MAW? The fact that he starts and plays double digit minutes is all you need to know about this roster.

Yes. Legree and horton come to mind. But both those guards created for others. Maw can't do that. He is a 3 and d guard that can't 3.

This roster will pretty much stink again next year without impactful transfers. Our dudes are just not that good. We are on the bad roster/program treadmill until most of this batch graduates or transfers.

I thought of both of those guys too. MAW and his career .382 FG% wishes he was as good of a shooter as LeGree (.438 with UC) and Horton (.457).

Those guys could finish at the rim that helps

@WSU could beat ECU who then would be 6-11 and with UC losing we would be 7-11
and finish #7

Not if Wichita wins @Tulsa tonight. That win and a win over ECU would put them ahead of UC in the standings.

It amazes me how physical Houston plays without fouling, or I guess I should say without getting called. Quite a few blatant fouls, not that we would have made the free throws.

At least we battled and honestly FTs and the desperation 3 and this is a game.

Was glad to see we didn't just pack it in for the season. Let's see what Thursday brings.
