Our guys are not responding too well to the full court pressure from WM.

RE: William and Mary - GAME 23 - CAA GAME 14
So, lets' see. Fornes was a starter at the beginning of the year when we were jacking three's and he couldn't hit a shot. We put him back in the starting lineup against CofC and a sorry Tribe team because he "earned" it.

And what happens?

CofC - 2-7 from the field and 2-6 from three.
W&M - 0-10 and 0-9 from three with four turnovers

He went to the bench for a reason. C'mon coach, don't be foolish just because he's a grad student and you like him. Go back to the rotation that put us at the top of the conference.

Sims, Phillips, Okauru, White, Baker and let Fornes come off the bench where he played extremely well.

They're definitely taking those points off the board.

That should do it. Radio guys were both CERTAIN that was a shot clock violation.

Yeah, only thing that helped us I guess was when he was fouled.

Take the win, but good grief... it didn't need to be that difficult.

I don't think Fornes even played in OT did he?

I don't understand why the coaches didn't take him out before that?

He wasn't in trouble in the second was he?

He has 11 in OT. Not sure what is different (is it the rotation?), but he can absolutely dominate.

RE: William and Mary - GAME 23 - CAA GAME 14
We are on thin ice as a team to finish what we started with the undefeated run for nine conference games. Our supposedly easy games are over on the back side of conference play. We know EXACTLY what we need to do on offense to win games, and this wasn't it. Siddle needs to reign this nonsense in and get us back to what we do or Towson will blow us out and we will face a remaining schedule we struggled against.

Bring Fornes off the bench and stop jacking three's. Easy.

We now face Towson, JMU, Drexel and Delaware. We beat one in OT and one on a hail mary three the first time around. I'm not feeling as confident in this team as I was at the beginning of conference play as we slowly revert to jacking threes and jumpers.

I missed a bunch of the second, but he picked up his second with about 10 mins in the first. And his first foul was an absolutely silly one. He absolutely dominated. Both OT games he took into his own hands

It was a genuine question. I was multitasking too, but I don't recall him being in trouble in the second. Agree with your point though; need our best players available.

Thomas seems to be earning more minutes and Baker is playing well. Those are my two bright spots from today.

He didn’t dominate the second because His teammates were busy jacking threes

You've lost your mind if you didn't think there was going to be some sort of let down following Saturday's homecoming game against Charleston and Thursday's game on national tv against Towson. The team got it done when it had to. On to Towson...

I'd like to see the minutes for the second half. Is it possible Fornes is getting the minutes in an effort to rest legs? The way Siddle answered the tired legs question with Mike made me think that some of the decisions were driven with rest (for Shy) in mind.

LOL having an off game and playing like that are two entirely different things. Any other team we lose by 20. As 82 pointed out the trend of jacking up threes the last several games was and is most certainly a concern.
Hopefully this is just a blip and we get back to what got us in this position on Thursday!

They are 100% the same thing. You get out of character, you don’t play with the same level of intensity and you settle. Exactly what happened today. I’ll give this group that’s 18-7 and 12-2 in the league and coaching staff, that has shown an ability to get the kids ready to go, the benefit of the doubt instead of showing “concern” that things aren’t going to end well.

Well, We can just HOPE that you are right, because the staff didn't have them ready to play today, nor did they adjust at halftime which they have done so many times this year. That statement does not take anything away from the great moves they have made the last two months.
No need to quote the record, if the record before the game mattered, they wouldn't have even played todays game in comparing the two teams.

Simply stating we have to play better Thursday if we want to finish the week in first. That's factual, and we are certainly capable of it.
