He literally wrote it seems like they sold that many tickets, but that many people weren’t there.

It may have been a little less than the reported number but for a 2pm game on a workday it was pretty close. He also wrote most CAA schools would love for their normal turnout to be our low turnout

It wasn't a big crowd, but it grew as the game went on. Apparently students came late after after getting out of their class. And, except for the teacher who brought her class there, the students were plenty loud. And their energy fed the season ticket holders. While it wasn't like the crowd we had at homecoming, they did their part in supporting the team. So I really don't think the smaller crowd was much of an issue. The team was just flat. Even though they didn't shoot well from the field overall, they did hit their free throws. And, what was interesting, they scored at times when the pressure was really on.
They definitely need to get back on track. But at least last night they gutted out a W when it could have very well ended up being a trap game.

I understand how frustrating a game can get. Lord knows we don't tend to run away with any game, no matter who we play. What I don't understand is the grumbling over a team who has succeeded beyond our expectations. It borders on disrespect. This team deserves more than that.
My guess is that everyone here is really proud of this team and staff this year. The fact that we're critical during games is a testament to the job they've done. They've raised expectations. We're solidly in the top 4 regular season and we'd all have taken that before conference play started, but, appropriately, we've recalibrated expectations.
It's not disrespectful, in fact I'd say it's the opposite.
One thing that doesn't get pointed out is Shy plays much bigger than he is. 7 boards last night. And several of those came from out jumping their bigs. He definitely wanted it more. And we can expect Thomas to step up next year. The more he plays, the better he gets. And this kid can jump. Excited about him for the future.

Several of them were key offensive boards, too. He shouldn't be able to outrebound bigs, particularly on the OFFENSIVE glass, but he does.

Shy is one of the best i've ever seen at his size at finishing through contact. We've seen a few times when he doesn't get the contact he's expecting and his shots are way off. He plays HUGE! Have to keep him out of foul trouble so he can be on the floor at crunch time.

And what happens?
CofC - 2-7 from the field and 2-6 from three.
W&M - 0-10 and 0-9 from three with four turnovers
He went to the bench for a reason. C'mon coach, don't be foolish just because he's a grad student and you like him. Go back to the rotation that put us at the top of the conference.
Sims, Phillips, Okauru, White, Baker and let Fornes come off the bench where he played extremely well.
Three games into the Fornes back to a starter experiment and here's what he's done in three games.
2-19 from three
4-25 overall
These types of numbers are bringing back memories. Where have I seen this before?
