RE: Potential WRs transfers
Oddly enough, I’m not too worried about the height of our receivers. Maybe on the slightly shorter side but let’s be honest our offense wasn’t predicated on jump balls and Cole put up record numbers.

2022 JMU:
- Kris Thornton (5’8”)
- Terrance Greene Jr. (5’11”)
- Kobay White (5’11”)
- Reggie Brown (6”1’)
- Devin Ravenel (6’1”)

2020 Alabama that torched a great OSU secondary:
- Jaylen Waddle (5’10”)
- Slade Bolden (5’11”)
- John Metchie (6’0”)
- Devonta Smith (6’1)

Throw in Ruggs (6’0”) and Jeudy (6’1”) from 2019 and most of Bama’s dominant receivers have not been taller than 6’1”. If those guys have good hands and run good routes (the Bama formula) they can get the job done. Bama receivers have always been knocked for not having prototypical height but let’s be honest, teams would love to have at least one of these guys.

We also just got a 6'6 Marshall TE transfer and if we get Herres, he is 6'4

Wells just got offered to Louisville. What if we played against him next year

That’s the main thing I’m asking for in the equation. Just go somewhere to where we won’t directly get torched by you. No SBC, no Tech, no Louisville. Anywhere else? Fine.

It could work the other way also, with JMU beating Louisville, and Wells wishing he had stayed. I think we've got a real shot in that game. Our biggest question mark right now is QB performance and how quickly all the players will gel given there will be some new faces and possibly a learning curve.

Kyjuan Herndon is a 5'9" RB/WR RS-FR at CSU from Florida. He didn't play this fall (as a WR) and redshirted in 2020 (as a RB). He had 3 stars out of HS.

Jadan Blue is a former 3-star WR from Maryland who is leaving Temple with one year left. He was Temple’s single-season record holder for yards (1,067) and receptions (95) in 2019. Centeio probably threw a handful of those and Jadan retweeted Centeio's commitment to JMU. As of mid-Dec, he only had offers from UConn and Tulane, but it looks like VT offered last week (makes sense as the article below says Penn St had talked with him earlier in the process). I believe JMU would be the favorite if HCCC offered.

The coaching carousel has come to a stop, the early signing period is over and it’s panic time to get on board and registered for classes that start soon. If his only offers are Tulane and UConn he might decide staying closer to home and playing with his old QB would be ok. Then again JMU hasn’t offered, so maybe there’s something keeping them away from that or are ok with the group they currently have.

Quote: A 6-foot, 190-pound Maryland native with one remaining year of eligibility, Blue, 247Sports' fourth-highest rated receiver in the portal, has had some notable interests since he entered the portal. Penn State, Florida State, Mississippi State and Texas A&M reached out early in his process. And while his only offers so far are from UConn and Tulane, Blue believes more will come once things are more settled with the coaching carousel and the Early Signing Period.

“There’s a bunch of schools that have me on their radar,” Blue said. “It’s just a matter of us getting in contact and them figuring out their numbers and where things are going to fit.”

Blue hopes to make a final decision at the end of December so he can get to his next school and start developing a chemistry with his new quarterback.

How do you know? Because VT offered last week? It wouldn't be the first time we beat Tech for a recruit. We also kicked Tech's ass AT THEIR PLACE the last time we played them.

Or he could just remove himself from the portal and stay at Temple?

Btw, Blue's career stats with Centeio at QB: 9 receptions, 81 yards, 1 TD. They might be friends, but I wouldn't call Toddy 'his' QB.

If he got more opportunity at Temple he wouldn’t have bolted for Colorado State. And they’re still friends enough to retweet his commitment to JMU, so JMU is not out of 5he realm of possibilities if they decide to offer him.

Nobody called Centeio "his" QB. The only thing said was "Centeio probably threw a handful of those and Jadan retweeted Centeio's commitment to JMU." Thanks for running down the official stats down to prove my point.

Jadan has retweeted two VT QB commits and the VT QB coach in the past 24 hours. I wonder what would have happened if JMU had offered before all this and right after Centeio committed. It is supposedly exactly what he wanted - a decision by end of Dec and growing chemistry with a QB (who he would already have some with, albeit however small).

There is zero chance he is at temple next year and I would happily put money on that.

Blue, not Centeio...
You cited their stats together and questioned him being “his QB”. Again, had Centeio got more of an opportunity he wouldn’t have bolted and those numbers would of been bigger, and that doesn’t diminish the fact they are close enough friends to keep tracking each other. You can keep minimizing the fact he’s leaving Temple and laugh as if these huge offers are coming (they haven’t) and he wouldn’t dare consider JMU. The responses explain why he would probably consider them if they decided to offer him.

He's not leaving Temple for JMU. You can be defensive about it all you want.

I'm betting he goes to VT. But if VT hadn't offered and JMU did and you just think he wouldn't consider leaving Temple for JMU that's pretty funny.

Stay in your lane and don't bring your ignorant @$$ over to these boards, or at least be ready to put down some cash "lol"

He's not leaving Temple for JMU. You can be defensive about it all you want.

$50 or $100 or...

LOL, I'm sure he's eager to stay at a team that went 2-9 in FBS.

Even ECU pounded your @ss this year 45-3 03-lmfao

Btw, Blue's career stats with Centeio at QB: 9 receptions, 81 yards, 1 TD. They might be friends, but I wouldn't call Toddy 'his' QB.

Just DAMN! Do you know how bad you have to suck at football to get beaten by ECU 45-3? Small high schools are better than Temple.
