Not Casting any shade on ECU at all, but Tulane's defense is terrible. We made a change at DC and it is proving to be the worst move in a long time. Fritz hired Duke's DB coach who had no previous experience as a DC, but was on our staff previously.

This year we have been down by 21 in the frist half to every FBS opponent. UAB only scored 28, but they were up 21-0 and then went uber conservative beacuse they are a defense first team.

Let's just get passed Navy on the road 1st but I do believe that coach Houston can take us to heights above and beyond what Skip, Ruff and even Logan did if he stays long enough. Maybe, in the next few years we can finally stop pointing back to the 1992 Peach Bowl championship as our high water mark.

congrats to ECU. It seems most App fans were correct that ECU would win its fair share of AAC games after seeing the pieces you had in place. Good luck finishing out the year and we'll see you again in '23.

We still let 3 games escape our grasp this season. We could be playing for a shot at the conference championship this weekend.

I watched that South Carolina game they lost. A game they should have won. I think starting out 0-2 put them off everyone’s radar. ECU is a dangerous ball team.

Add in UTSA and a hopeful rebound for USF soon and its not a bad top tier in football for the near term.

Yes, and ECU won two games on the last play. These things have a way of evening out. There is a reason that there are only three undefeated teams left in FBS football.

Yeah pretty lame to ignore those things. I'd say winning against Memphis and Navy WAS the evening of the scales since we got screwed against USC, shot ourselves in the foot against UCF, and outplayed UH in every aspect but the score. Not to mention taking haymakers that aren't called by the refs but whatever.

You both may be right about those four being perennial powers in the league.

I just have this hunch though that ECU and Memphis won’t really ever both be strong in the same season.
