I think it’ll be ECU, Memphis, UTSA.

Of the remaining teams of the old AAC, only Temple and Memphis have won the conference and add Navy and Tulsa as participants in the championship game. Granted Temple sucks now, but they are, like all the other teams, one good coach away from returning to success. While ECU and SMU look good now, neither have been to a championship game.

Which Owl fan are you? Temple or Rice lol. Because neither will be part of the big 5 of the AAC

As sketchy as Holton looked early in the season, he has really killed it on the back 9. Now I hope he stays his extra year. Mason Garcia is ECU's 6-5, 4-star QB who has the deer in the headlights look when he comes out. Maybe he needs more experience, more first team reps to settle down. None of the other backups have sniffed the field yet.

Yeah pretty lame to ignore those things. I'd say winning against Memphis and Navy WAS the evening of the scales since we got screwed against USC, shot ourselves in the foot against UCF, and outplayed UH in every aspect but the score. Not to mention taking haymakers that aren't called by the refs but whatever.

Technically they did call it. They called it a dead-ball foul with no ejection, even though the ball clearly hit the turf after #5 was already punched out. Instead of a 15 yard penalty and 1st down ECU, it was a 4th quarter turnover on downs to Houston.

I can’t disagree with anything you said. Temple has the potential to be one of the flag bearers of the American for sure.

I root for the Owls that were AAC champs in 2016...

BTW, I expect the AAC to remain as competitive as always after the membership changeover.
