Over the years most Western/Middle games have been heart stoppin', barnburnin', & as Stressful as a Root Canal. In the First half ( if our offensive line blocks for the young sub QB, and our Defense plays like they have in the last couple of weeks); we gonna be tied with the Toppers at halftime. Pretty sure the WKU Offense will pull away in the 2nd half. But, Hope Springs Eternal. Go Blue!!!!!

Please accept apologies for an outsider comment -- and a little late in the thread -- but 8 of 12 games are on Saturdays. NIU played 4 Saturday conference games this year, e.g. Three of the 4 were against same-division (West) opponents: Toledo, Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan. If you want the WKU-MTSU game on a fall Saturday, pretty sure you'll get it. And on one of the ESPN platforms. Again, apologies. I don't usually visit other boards. Csrry on.

Ps. TV for our games (all 12) this year: ACC Network, ESPN+, Big Ten Tenwork, ESPN3, ESPN+, CBSSports, ESPN+, ESPNU, ESPN2, ESPN2, ESPN2/U, ESPNU/+. The MACC is on ESPN.

As well as MT is playing in the First Quarter; we are fortunate that this game is not on any traditional visual medium. We are stinkin' it up in Bowling Green.

Our defense is playing decently well. Our freshman QB is just really in over his head. 3 picks, including a pick six, in a little over a quarter is really hard to come back from.

Watching game ... four ints and at least 2 pass int penalties by MT ... but anyway, you should see the porous NIU defense ... changed mind about visiting ... some good people on this board ... enjoying some cfb right here.

Well the only good news is that this kid making his first start didn’t throw a fifth interception in a half. That would have been as many interceptions as the team had thrown the entire season.

Zappe is off his game big time. Thank goodness our defense showed up.

I guess my first half prediction was being viewed thru my Blue-Colored Glasses! Hope my Second-Half Prediction is just as wrong! Otherwise, the Tops may put around 60+ on us.

Clearly dropped a mint on this one. Backing up the BRINKS truck to the officials' houses now. Oh did I say officials? I meant backing it up to the MTSU QB's house. He has been the best part of our offense today.

Need to keep an experienced, stable coach as you guys move into the MAC. Better give him an extension.

MTSU defense was impressive, really held our offense down better than anyone this season. Just had a 3rd string QB was is not good..

Thanks, the defense has been a shining spot so far, but the offense just didn't give them much to work with due to all the turnovers. I'd have loved to see the game with Cunningham at QB, but I still think WKU is the better team overall. Hope y'all win out and make it to the conference championship

More like fifth string.

Considering Asher O'hara was supposed to be the starter this year, then you end up with a 4-start transfer who flaked out, then you end up with the third string guy who brings it and you can still win with, and then down to a fourth string guy who is more of an emergency and then you've got a fifth guy who is a true freshman who had never played a college snap before a handful last week.

Meanwhile, western's transfer QB who had all of zero offers, zero stars, and played a lower level comes in and lights the world on fire. Pretty much our luck. Makes perfect sense.
