Not to mention the only reason we got mentions on gameday this morning was Caff, and then we decide to go in the other direction.

Turnovers costly as Rice drops season opener

They put this out faster than the volleyball one. Must have already had it written. Lol

Why am I still reading this? It's very bad for my mental health.

Close enough to five that I'm gonna start drinking.

If we are getting to play arm-chair coach, I'll see your QB line up and raise my running back line up of:
1. Broussard 2. Myers 3. Otaviano and 4. Griffen

With that said, a few more things need to happen
1. Bloomgren should not call plays anymore...you hired an OC for a reason.
2. Someone needs to step up and endow the Defensive Coordinator position: Brian Smith needs a huge raise.
3. There needs to be better accountability. Even if you take one of the interceptions from Green away due to the tip (McCaffrey had plenty of those at Nebraska), you can't put the ball down on the ground. Green has done that, Griffin has done that (North Texas game, Marshall game, Scrimmage). And yet Juma can't sniff an carry, Johnson is so far in the dog house, you would think that he committed some unforgiveable offense besides beating the #15/#21 team in 2020. And what is McCaffrey's transgression? He hasn't mastered the offense? The offense is clearly what is holding this team back. Maybe he should not master it. The defense and special teams blocked a punt, forced two turnovers and have 3 points to show for it.

Oh, one more rant. Why is it that the a private school that is located in one of the most hot and humid cities of America has players that are not acclimated to the heat?

Rant over...

Still, great game guys. We are what are our record says we are, but we could be much better.

I'm not certain exactly what you considers "aggressive" or why it would bring improvement.

Our offense is the most predictable offense in FBS. Even more so than Navy or Army. Bring in someone who doesn’t do that.

But predictable is not bad if you execute. I'd take as predictable as Navy or Army over the last decade if we had their results. Navy has won 7.4 per year over the last 10 and Army has won 7.0 per year over the last 7 (since Monken got there). I'll take either of those and be happy with predictable.

Speaking of Army, late in the game today they had run 28 fullback dives and 28 quarterback keeps--and scored 43 points.

Doubt this impresses the AAC and MWC folks.

But he’s a captain. The respect!

Predictable is bad if it doesn’t work. We could execute those stupid halfback pitches over and over and not gain any yards.

If Bloom is going to call plays, nothing will change. I would guess Green is finished as the starting quarterback.

Seems optimistic. If we don’t beat UH I’m on the fire Bloom bandwagon. We won’t beat UT.

Anything is bad if it doesn't work. I saw nothing today to convince me that throwing the ball 60 times a game would work.

I don't know how good the Whorns are. Right now at the half it's TexasU 14, ULaLa 6.

Louisiana is good. They proved that last season.

Not as good as I hoped, not as bad as I feared.

No need to go wholesale to Caf. If that was the plan, we should have started him today and played him all the way.

I think the plan is to play him part time for the first three, then install him.

I turned it off at 24-17. No need to punish myself. The offense was bad, but Arkansas returned 10 starters on defense.

Reading this after being at the game. That horrible play call might have been thegame...

If he is still playing after 3 INTs, what makes you think Bloom won’t start him next week?
