In ‘91 & ‘92 I traveled to New London, WI on a regular basis. We measure our snow in inches here - up there they measure it in feet.

Tavion Thomas ends up at Utah after his JUCO year. (Yes I realize it's a basketball thread for the most part, but it is a transfer portal thing)

Happy for the kid. I hope he gets an opportunity for minutes there. I think the shoulder issue really impacted his play this past season. Best of luck to him.

Considering they make, or are in contention for, the tournament with the same regularity as UC, I'd say, not very.

He was a decent player for UC before he was injured...very underrated. Also, for most of his time here, the horrendous 3-point shooting of his teammates did him no favors.

If his shoulder is 100%, he will be an asset to his new squad, but I'm.not sure the odds are in his favor. It sounds like the kind of nagging, multi-year injury that is hard to come back from.

Considering they make, or are in contention for, the tournament with the same regularity as UC, I'd say, not very.

If you take the post-Huggins era, Wisky is a better program than UC...by a lot. 7-to-1 advantage in Sweet 16s is just the beginning.

two things:
#1. i was watching tape of a former student who played against Tavion. i SWEAR he scored four times in just the few plays i saw
#2. they never mentioned why he was asked to transfer. i can think of a specific 3rd and 2 play recently where we could've benefited from his skill set
