And, ratings do lie. The rise and fall of local sports radio ratings depends on the listeners level of interest/non-interest in the team and the time of day. What movie a host likes, or how their airplane ride went, or if their kid is cool, or where they ate dinner, is not why any of us listen to sports talk. We want to hear about our team. If we are pre-season top 10 or the Grizzlies win a play off game and the ratings go up, that's not the amazing host.
