OH NO! What will we do without the transfer from South Alabama that none of us knew anything about prior to something being shared on twitter last week? Has to be difficult to be as negative as you always are....

Someone that WE HAD OFFERED, committed to another program. And if you took the time to read a little, you would have seen he was someone who fit the bill for what we needed perfectly. Isn't this a place to talk about guys we had offered? Pretty certain if you look up in the thread someone else posted when someone else we offered went somewhere else too. This is literally the thread to talk about recruits.

And 82, spare me. I'm a realist. I'd LOVE to have something positive to talk about, but right now we have very little positive to talk about. There are many others who feel the exact same way, they just don't voice it as much. And earlier in the year it was give him a chance like i did with CB...... Now after one season it's wait until next season. Always a moving target with you especially when it comes to KK and his cronies. And when i call out when you talk out both sides of your mouth you get your panties in a wad.

Hoops...he's 6'7 and heading to his 3rd school. Based on what I've seen you and others say, that should have automatically disqualified him from being of interest for UNCW at this point. Ashame you and Mullet aren't relevant enough for your opinion to be shared somewhere besides this message board and it make an impact on the decisions being made over there. As I said earlier, you are both insufferable.

Since you both seem to have all the answers, who SHOULD be the coach at UNCW and what needs to be done to turn the program around? If I remember correctly, this team was 6-3 prior to Covid hitting the team, losing Sims to injury, playing without Shykeim Phillips and Jay Estime, Bowen missed multiple games, and Boggs couldn't have cared less. Lord help us if any potential recruit knows how to use a computer and reads what you two clowns say.

He was 6'7 big body, can rebound and shoot. Apparently you didn't read, not shocked. Block me, no skin off my back. Haven't really read anything great you have brought to the table so feel free.

Now can we get back to talking about recruits? That's what was happening here before you guys took this off the rails.

Which ones? The ones you don't think are good enough, tall enough, athletic enough, smart enough, or have been to too many schools? Sure...let's talk about them. Love how you and your sidekick love to push buttons and run your mouths, yet when someone pushes back, neither one of you can take it.

LOL pot meet kettle. Please show me where i said someone wasn't smart enough, i'll wait. And if you read far enough( we've already established that's hard for you), you will see I have had plenty of positive things to say about the guys we have coming in. White looks good, as does McGriff and even McCracken for that matter. But yes, we do need size. My sidekick? Me and Mullet have gone toe to toe on several discussions, it's a message board that's how these places work. Can't take it? Yeah, My day is ruined because some schmuck with 24 posts called me insufferable.

I posted yesterday that we had lost out on a recruit, i come back to 20 posts of train off the rails back and forth. Which you gave the first push off the rails BTW.
Again, let's get back to recruits?

Not all of us are blessed with the time to b*tch and moan for over 8,000 posts, so good on you for being a regular on this board. Eventually I would think you'd get tired of it, but apparently not. As an alum, I am looking forward to Siddle filling the remaining spots on the roster, you two tools complaining about it, and the program getting back to its winning ways.

Fill it with good guys that fill our gapping roster holes, there won't be complaining. And WE ALL want us to get back to our winning ways. I'd love nothing more than to be taking a picture with the CAA trophy after a UNCW title again. But i'm sorry, blind optimism isn't my thing. I need to see proof that is indeed what is happening. We saw some positives early in the season, but the end of the season was a train wreck. When a team quits on a coach, that's alarming, not sure how anyone could see that as anything but.

Now you are throwing Boggs under the bus ? Come on dude that is just plain awful. Boggs was put in a spot that he should never have played one second at and played hard.
Recruits should read this board and see what fans think about the team, program and coaches. I also have to think they are all able to operate a computer if they are high school kids looking at UNCW. This is a board and not a fan boy page.

If blind optimism isn't your thing, it's going to be a long 7 months for you. I'll take the hope that we have a great core returning, a talented JUCO player, three freshmen, and two experienced kids who have won alot of games. You're right there are holes and as much as the two of us would like to think we know about basketball, I'm pretty sure that the staff knows those holes as well. I would expect there are kids that you and I haven't even heard of that are being offered/recruited right now.

RE: Basketball Recruit Updates
It didn’t look like the team quit overall. Was there an individual or 2? Looked that way to me so sometimes it’s just best to move ahead.

Hope we find our perfect fits because we do have 10 guys that can play and just need to sure up the post.

The whole team went through the motions in the lifeless tourney game, that was my reference. And immediately after half the team transferred. So, it's pretty easy to draw a conclusion.

RE: Basketball Recruit Updates
My numbers may be not be precise, but there are around 4500 scholarship basketball players each year in D1 and there have been at least 1800 players in the portal this year. UNCW's roster is incomplete right now and there isn't a lot of movement with commitments. I think that is universal, but it feels more pressing for our team because we don't care about what is going on anywhere else.

Calling year 1 a train wreck or dumpster fire is nonsense. Yes, there were concerns at the end of the year and we were one of the first schools to lose a significant part of our roster. That is unprecedented and my kneejerk reaction was the same as many on here. But, now that we can see that it's happening everywhere, I think it would do everyone good to step back and wait. With the portal, who even knows what date to target, but my impression is that we'll have an opportunity to pickup talent later in the process. I hope that the students are able to be on campus and in class in a manner that looks close to normal.

Same old crap. He's a troll. If he were an ECU poster he'd be booted.

Mr.Positive ragging somebody out who happens to not agree with him on anything-ever. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Maybe your wife or kids love you-you could use it.

It's not about agreement or disagreement. It's about bashing a basketball coach and team relentlessly. Bashing the conference we're in relentlessly. Bashing the AD. You don't pop on to this board until you have something negative to say.

Like I said, if it weren't for the fact you claim to be a "fan", you'd be banned. Not for disagreement, but because you don't add to any actual discussion.

Have you said a word about any of the incoming recruits? The guys we have staying? Incoming transfers? Do we have any player on this team that's good? We have pages and pages of discussions on all these guys, and not a single post from you about any of them. But if someone transfers out, or we don't get a recruit we target, you're all about how good they were and how bad UNCW and the coaches are.

Like I said, you're a troll.
Say whatever you want but you might be the most negative person on this board and are constantly into it with somebody unless they agree that Keatts and his assistants are the second coming for college basketball. I can also guarantee you they are not and everybody that post on this board is 100% entitled to their own opinion on the coaches and admin at UNCW.
The last time I checked the roster for UNCW it 4 players on it as players, so that speaks for itself. The 4 listed are all pretty good players from what I have seen they can compete as a CAA player. I don't know anything about the recruits and will wait to see if they ever play at UNCW before commenting on them.
Pretty sure you and your little buddy Triangleseahawk919 are the same guy.

You are probably right on them filling holes, However, we had major size limitations last year and the staff didn't address them. That is the reason for my skepticism. I do like the kids we have coming in, although not a huge fan of bringing Fornes back and i liked him when he was here the first time. See, we can have a civil discussion 04-cheers

Hope we find our perfect fits because we do have 10 guys that can play and just need to sure up the post.
The whole team went through the motions in the lifeless tourney game, that was my reference. And immediately after half the team transferred. So, it's pretty easy to draw a conclusion.

Agree wholeheartedly. The tournament appearance was abysmal and easy to see that most of the kids that left had made their mind up prior to going to Harrisonburg.

Haha, that's certainly a better job at having a discussion than most politicians that's for sure

I'm sure Okauru, Sims, Harvey, and Phillips would be grateful to know they have your blessing as CAA players. The 3 incoming incoming freshmen and JUCO kid I'm sure are anxiously awaiting your stamp of approval. The Morehead State kid and Fornes might as well go ahead and get used to you bashing them. Also...in regards to your complaint that there are only 4 players on the roster, I think I just listed 10.

As per usual in most of your asinine posts, though you're 100% entitled to your own opinion, none of them are based in facts. Just make it up as you go.

Basketball Recruit Updates
Welp. I’ve let this go on, hoping you all would chill out, because you’re adults.

Maybe I’m the one that’s wrong here.

I don’t care if you disagree but stop calling each other names. It’s ridiculous. Next one that does it gets a week in the boo box.
