I would not say he was a bust but he certainly did not play at the level most expected him to play at. But he still has two years to develop into that player, albeit somewhere else...

I wouldn't call him a bust, either, but I thought we'd see better things during his time at UM. Like Boogie, he seemed to be rounding into shape over the last few weeks of the season, but maybe he was just stepping it up and "auditioning" for potential suitors.

Whatever the case, I wish him well...

This is complete garbage. Some of our fans need to have their heads examined.

What was his recruiting ranking? Top 25? He wasn't that but clearly would have been more productive playing the stretch 4 in a small line up. Interesting that by insisting on playing the perimeter he showed the NBA he couldn't where had he played the 4 more, he could have at least kept them guessing & maybe willing to take a chance on him to make the transition to the 3.

Same thing happened with Adonis Thomas...

Yep, at that tweener size seems like you're not viable unless you're able to handle like a guard and either a knockdown shooter or aggressive slasher and right now DJ is neither. He misses too many layups when he is aggressive and he's def not consistent from outside. Not to mention his D isn't anything I'd hang my hat on. He's going to have to figure out one of those or he's going to make a fine living playing overseas like Adonis. (Nothing wrong with that BTW.)

You are right, Stammers. I am sorry for DJ that this happened. Everyone should just shut up and not attack his mom. Right, wrong - whatever, no one should have their mom talked about and insulted. It is hurtful, no matter what the circumstances. Best wishes to DJ. I think he is a good young man and he has the right to make what he thinks is the best decision for him.

Mom should let her son handle his business...He isn't 12 anymore. She did him a disservice by doing this...Her job should have been to give her son advice concerning the decision and environment...Not coddle\defend him.

If she wants to be a public figure with posts like this she should expect to be treated as a public figure.

If DJ doesn't want to be criticized by the public there are tons of other jobs he can an aspire to...But if he wants to be a professional athlete you cant just take the good...Bad comes with it as well.

Maybe the new school he goes to can offer mom a free English class?

Maybe you should go somewhere to learn a little class yourself. Sometimes it just makes sense to keep your trap shut. DJ’s mom was out of line, but it is classless to talk badly about his mother. I dare say, he would probably knock your lights out if you said that to him face to face. And I wouldn’t blame him one bit.

Meh, if you are going to make public comments, especially comments about many lifelong Tiger fans, then you are opening yourself up for public ridicule.

Publicly Ridiculing someone’s mother for having her son’s back doesn’t float that many people’s boat.

I think there are 2 sides to that story. Many life-long Tiger's fans felt SHE attacked THEM. Particularly, those that give massive amounts of money to support the basketball program DJ was a beneficiary of.

So the mother lady's reactions were over the top... Are people so easily triggered that they have to strike back.. lol ....not to mention pile on.

You know what they say...two wrongs never make a right.

So, the mother lady can spew a bunch of filth, that appears to be written by a 14 year, with a bad attitude, and a 3rd grade education, and that's fine?

But, when someone makes a quip on a message board about her sounding like an idiot, that triggers you?

You know what they say...can't fix stupid.

I guess if you consider ridiculous outburst on social media as "having your kid's back"...

ARE U ATTACKING ME!!!!!! ARE YOU INSINUATING ANYTHING BY YOUR REMARK!!!!!
lol j/k

The mother lady probably thought of it that way. I've seen mother bears in q action when no one was even thinking of threatening their cubs. It's instinctive.

I have instinctively jumped to my son's defense on occasion, but that's because someone was pointing a real gun at him. So I know the instinct is there.

If it makes people feel good to type back at their perceived attackers...no biggie.... Keyboards make the world go round these days. Be sure to use BIG FAT LETTERS though.

Keyboards never hurt me.

But didn't she attack some moms with her post?

Not specifically, no. And I absolutely agree that she should not have posted what she did. It is hurtful for everyone. That said, you just don’t attack a young man’s mom. Period. Wish DJ the best and leave it at that.

Damn near every 40 something-ish woman out here is someones...Are we not allowed to talk about any of them? Are Dads fair game?

Therein lies the problem. For us, it's an exciting game. For parents and players, it's just too real. But everyone still has a choice how far he or she wants to take it.

I don't even do twitter....Not sure why. It just seems hohum...but I guess If you have enough real encounters with real kooks and askholes, online doesn't seem feel that exciting. I know.. Open a retail store. Make it into something people pay you to do --just for the excitement flavor.

wait, I have a better idea. I'll rent my store time out. lol

Are you tired of playing online for your excitement!!
Would you like to hang out in a real environment with controversial potential!!! One that has potential for real violence!!! It's a rush and a half.
Call now and reserve your spot!

Been fun...#lateforwork
