FYI - Immunologists say that it's actually a good thing that you get mild symptoms after getting the shots. It means they're working as expected. These are strong medicines designed to do extreme things to your body so that you don't get Covid symptoms that are almost always worse or infect others who might be way more compromised than you.

Don't be surprised when the NCAA passes a new rule that all athletes and coaches have to have the vaccination in order to participate in college athletics by fall. Our AD has already told us it is in the works and had a set up on campus this week for us to get vaccinated. Will be curious to see what effects this causes if it passes NCAA legislation and becomes a requirement.

Edit: I'm not at UC. I am affiliated with a small, private college.

They should be vaccinated for HPV before Covid. College athletes will kill more people from HPV than from Covid.

It's close...the shot is a lesser risk. But you're leaving out some facts. The shot only effects you. If you get Covid, you risk infecting others and taxing our already stretched health care system. Not to mention the shot's a whole heckuva lot cheaper for you than a doctor visit for you or anyone you may infect.

Six months doesn't tell you much. You need 18 to 24 months before you are going to know if we have birth defects or fertility issues. Old folks, shoot up. If I was pre-parenthood, I'd be waiting.

We’ve just spent a year pretending that every death is COVID related for election purposes. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that we pretend that no one has died due to side effects from a vaccine dose.

A study published a couple of days ago showed that the Pfizer vaccine protects against the South African variant. So we may not need to get a booster there. Got my Pfizer shot number one about 3 days ago.
