Seems like he'd be a good fit and it would be nice a dividend from Siddle's NCSU connection. There is a lot of interest there, but mostly mid-major teams.

Rosario is listed as 6'8, 220. With 4 schollys open, I think we could take both and still target 1 more physical big.

Agree 100%, if we use 3 of the 4 for size we can afford to have a 6’6 guy to with some beef. That would be a well rounded front court

Yeah, and with Rosario it looks like he only has 1 year of eligibility (he is listed as a senior), so he allows McGriff to be a freshman, learn the system, add weight/muscle.

They play different positions. Rosario is a big guard/small forward ala Flemmings. McGriff is a center. Fararr and McGriff would be competing for PT.

More like 6'7", and all you have to do is a little research and read about him. In a Siddle system, he's a 4, which is a guard/small forward. He is not a center and will not playing the same position as McGriff, midmajor or not.

Here's some film on Rosario. He's a big, don't see him playing much guard.

Farrar would be a 4 here. Ezuma is an athletic big who would play the 5, a perfect system fit in my opinion.

Listen to Rosario in his own words:

https://dnews.com/sports/wsu-grabs-rosar...2d5e6.html

Rosario told 247Sports he “built a good relationship with the coaches,” who were “recruiting me for over a year and I felt very comfortable with them.

“They like big guards and I feel like there is an opportunity to play early and make an impact.”

And this:

“The fact that he’s so multi-faceted,” Veritas coach/founder George Zedan said of what sets Rosario apart. “One possession, he can get a shot block. The next, it’s a 3. The next, he can play point guard, or guard a point guard.

OTH, Farrar has no outside game at all. Maybe a short jumper. He's really a Dodd type player, so if he plays the 4 it would probably be situtational.

The Carlos Rosario that article is referencing isn't the one we're recruiting. Disagree with Farrar, he had outside game coming out of high school. From what I was told he had an injury prior to the season that caused him to get out of shape and was never able to play himself back into shape during the season. Schools are recruiting him to be around 230-240 not 260.

Looks like a serviceable outside shot to me. Granted almost two years ago now and he's put on some weight

My understanding is that he's already dropped 10-15 pounds from his 260 preseason listing. The hope here is that with a healthy offseason it shouldn't be an issue. He has the ability to score at all 3 levels. His tape from the John Wall his senior year shows that.

Haha he sounds good! and with the Transfer portal I just see it as you getting ahead of the game as he'll probably be available in a year

I don't care what level you play, those are some impressive stat lines. May be a sleeper coming our way. He also hits the offensive boards really hard. Just what we need.

Found this description of his game. Fits perfectly with what we do.

Trazarien White Texas Impact 4:13

"White is an athletic 4-man who really excels in the open court. He can be used in screen in roll situations but really shines the more up and down the game is. It allows him to show off his speed as he can block a shot on one end while catching a lob on the other. When you give him a lane, White attacks and gets to the rim to score or hit the offensive glass. He's looking for an easy putback or to come over the top and steal the ball before the defensive rebounder can get to it. Offensively, he has shown the ability to slip screens and read defenders for easy dives to the rim."

I really like his game. But................. I thought we were knocking guys in this system that can't shoot? He's a terrible 3 point shooter. At least that's what you told me when Joe P left.

I wasn't knockiing anyone. In a SIddle system they want the 4 to be able to shoot the 3 ball, and i've said this guy isn't a prototype four in a Siddle system. But since he is coming, I like the fact he is a shot blocker who can get up and down the court and hit the offensicve boards. Makes no difference what I think, all I can do now is look at who is coming.
