Dakich, who has been known to search for Twitter conversations referencing him and pick fights with fans and other media members over those comments, then started going back-and-forth with Kalman-Lamb and Dr. Johanna Mellis, an assistant professor in the history department at Ursinus College who hosts a a podcast on sports and labor issues.

Dakich talked about the argument the following day on his radio show, insulting Kalman-Lamb's appearance, spelling out his name and repeatedly referencing his office hours at Duke, which was interpreted by some as doxxing or inciting his fans to take malicious action.

He reminds me of some folks on this board. Probably should have his wife read his tweets and emails before pushing the send/post button. Maybe she should push the button !! I guess Dan ain't da Man no more!!!

It's been obvious for several years that this guy has mental problems.

Dakich was dancing about these things on ESPNU on Sirius radio Friday afternoon with Mark Packer - Off Campus Show. Not really saying anything but talking about how his "straight truth" comments had offended some opt-out athletes & some university officials.

Had an epiphany today at Traders Point Church
Hit me like a ton of bricks as I heard Ryan Brammlet talk about “Benefit of The Doubt”
Voice told me to get off Twitter for 12 months
At conclusion of the service I went to the restroom and looked up how to deactivate TWITTER

I can't stand the guy.

He's actually kinda grown on me this year. Its refreshing to hear a commentator speak the truth about teams rather than candy coat everything, suck up about the coaches, or scream non-stop like Dookie V. Jimmy Dykes is awful too. He calls almost exclusively SEC games and manages to get Kentucky comments in every game no matter who is playing.

This has been Dakich’s act for years and ESPN did nothing.
This time, since his target of his ridicule was their most sacred of holy cow’s... Duke... they feign indignation and suspend him. I don’t know whether to clap for the clamp down or shake my head at ESPN’s double standard.

I've met him many times. You either love him or hate him. No in between.

folks seem to not understand freedom of speech...it has consequences.

you can say whatever you like. If your employer feels like those statements reflect badly on them, they can fire you. If what you say goes against a platforms standards, they can ban you.

being on twitter is not a right...
