Other than that.. It was an all effort by all players.. Williams keep this together with assists and rebounding.. Boogie was attacking the basket and making 3s.. Nolley stepped up in the second half.. Dandridge was a beast, probably one of his finest game with the Tigers.. Baugh was playing great defense.

I am so glad we held our composure and won it at the end.. Ironic how the ESPN commentator was talking about Memphis being on the bottom 8th as worst FT team in the country and we beat Cincy in the FT line at the end.

We had players in the game who have never been in that situation because that's normally Lomax spot. I wonder if Nolley could have been an inbound passer because he's great at the line but his handling of the ball leaves a lot to be desired.

DJ came in and gave a great pass to Malcolm for an alley-oop. When need DeAndre to give up on lob passes to Cisse.

How many times would he get one under other coaches without repercussions ---just curious. How many has he had ? I think the last 3 games. How many this year ? Maybe he figures if Penny is not gonna get one---he should do it for him

He's a hot head.

Having a hot head on our team is exactly what we need. Some of his T's would have never happened if there were crowds in the stands.

I think he took exception to the fouls Cindy committed that went uncalled.

RE: ***Official Memphis at Cincinnati Game Thread*** (2/28)
Great game, little tense at the end.

Glad the players hit the FT when they needed it.

Some say ALo is out for two games. Some say three.

If he's out two games and back for Houston, he might be out of shape. I think he'll have problems playing against Houston after several days off his feet.

Williams needs to learn D1 is not like JuCo, and, learn to not get techs. A tech is a possible 3 or 4 point turnaround for the opponent. And, in the games from here on out, we can't afford a tech anymore.

I am all for being passionate and into the game and having an edge but Williams mouth is starting to get old, way too dramatic out there. You can play hard and be hard nosed without all the Draymond Green drama. He is too good of a player and too valuable to this team to be picking up cheap techs and running his mouth all the time. Any time we block a shot or dunk one everyone has to flex and jaw, just play and let the score talk.

Especially on the sequence with the rebounds and the dunk. There were at least 3 if not 4 on him within an 8 second span.

ikr. He was almost a half court away too. That was the most unwarranted T I've ever seen. The ref must have been on edge

edit: wait... I did see Draymond get T'd for a harmless teaching exchange with Wiseman

It was really obvious when they showed that play in slow motion. Big white dude fouled him hard twice and no call.

I think that most T's are not called in a vacuum. The nexus of the T often occurs some plays before the call itself is made.
Not that I'm defending an official, heaven forbid. It sure looked bogus at the time.

When I watched again, I heard the announcers say the refs were fearful about losing control because other incidents had occurred. There was a lot riding on that game. Senior night etc

It appeared to me that he was cheering on/pumping up his teammate who had just emphatically rejected a shot.

I do think he complains to the ref's too much. But I don't see his emotions directed at the other team; certainly not near to a level like Joey Dorsey.
