Morehead State has generally been a bottom feeder in the non scholarship Pioneer Football League, I'm honestly almost surprised JMU hasn't scored more.

I think it would be pretty tough for UR or W&M. Elon has two non-cons, so if they're coming in at 6-2 with some competitive losses to JMU, I think they could definitely get consideration. Although struggling with Davidson doesn't help.

I'm not prepared to make a prediction before this first down is played. I guess my point is, I believe 3 of the 16 FCS playoff spots will come out of the CAA. Just from what I've read, those teams should be JMU, Nova and one other northern team (UNH, Albany, or UD). We probably won't have an opportunity to upset a ranked team other than JMU, so should we drop both vs them, we'll most likely be outside looking in. I think we can take 1 of 2 vs the Dukes but even 5-1 could be a stretch. The good news is UD, Nova, and UNH will beat up on each other. Us not playing the two allotted non-conference games doesn't help.

Was there ever discussion as to why we aren’t playing at least one non-conference game? Is there another sport at W&M just playing conference teams?

Most coaches were in favor of not having too many games in the spring and then have to come right back and start training for the fall season. Less chance of losing someone for next season.

I think 5-1 in the South gets a second team in if that team is JMU.
