Toledo vs. Buffalo (ESPN2)
What a fun game to watch and a big win. Big runs by both teams and we weathered many storms. But I don't want to play them again. Their strength is our weakness.

Wow-thought we might play close but ... Buffalo is good, took away the threes in second half but have no outside threat of their own. Milner and Marreon stepped it up at the right time AND we played 8 guys!

Fantastic.... high quality basketball. A tough season stretch and game stretch weathered by a mentally tough Toledo team!

Big win on national television!! All hail our senior leader Marreon Jackson. You could tell how badly he wanted to beat the Bulls.

Big win. This really is a Buffalo team that we don’t physically match up well with. Saunders, Shumate & Acunzo combine for a whole 11 points—and we still win. Rollins carried us in the first half & Jackson and Millner took us on the home stretch. Well done!

WOW! What a great game! Basketball is a game of runs and this game exemplified that. First win against Buffalo since 2017! Excellent win Rockets!

There was nothing not to like about this game as a college basketball fan, especially if you are a Rocket fan.
What a great win!

RE: Toledo vs. Buffalo (ESPN2)
Great road win by the Rockets showing their mental toughness during the last 5 minutes of the game with one big play after another. What this game showed me is that even if you have some quality bigs like Buffalo has in Mballa and Williams, if you don’t have good guard play in the MAC you are in real trouble. Buffalo’s guards tonight were a combined 1-12 from three point range while Toledo’s 4 Guards were a combined 10-17. There’s your ball game in a nutshell. As I said after the Miami game, if M. Jackson plays like he did Tuesday night and again like tonight, Toledo is going to be a tough out come tournament time. I also want to give a shout out to S. Milner who despite being outsized in the interior was not intimidated and played a strong game finishing with 17 points and 7 rebounds. With three games to go in the regular season against WMU, CMU and Ball St. the Rockets are sitting in excellent shape as Akron must finish with Ohio, BG, Buffalo and Miami. The Rockets are getting a lot of love on Twitter right now for their performance tonight on national television. Hopefully they’ll be tweeting about Toledo in the NCAA Tournament!

I've been watching Milners dunk over and over on twitter. Don't overlook MJs laser pass from the hip to find Milner running down the sideline. Marreon shot the pass like a true gunslinger.

Compared to the two recent losses it seems like our offensive plan B of semi clear-outs and drives by Milner, Jackson, and Rollins made the difference in crunch time (along with very good D and some gift calls). Imagine if Littleson had developed some moves to the basket along with that great 3-pt shooting?

Great to see the Rockets on Sportscenter highlights. Besides the Milner slam they had several clips of MJ taking over at the end....
Here is the Milner slam .... one more time!

Interesting take but are Mballa and WIlliams really "bigs" in any traditional sense? And I think all this watching on tv make it easy to forget exactly how tall Littleson and Saunders are. We are a tall guard rotation 6'4s" and 6'5", the only "short" guy being our most experienced and leader, MJ at 6'1".
I think we put a slightly taller roster than the Buffs in the front court also, we should match up well in that regard.
I agree with your take on the guard play. For me, it came down to mistakes made by their pg, Segue. We put good switching pressure on him, smart players all around and I think made the game harder than he was ready for. That's where their coach will concentrate efforts on a rematch, getting that ball out of his hands quicker and moving around the court to keep our players more honest. I think. :)

Toledo vs. Buffalo (ESPN2)
A game like last night speaks volumes to the inconsistency of officiating. They generally let them play last night, which I’m ok with. The home games against Akron and Kent were the exact opposite and as a result the games had no flow and were terrible to watch. However, if we play Buffalo again and get a crew that calls it like they did against Akron or Kent, we’d go to the foul line 35 times and win by 15.

Thanks for posting Millner’s dunk. That got to be the most impressive dunk I have ever seen by a Toledo player, maybe any player. The only one comparable was Stempin’s dunk back in the day.

They are working under the boards, trying to box out the larger Buffalo players. All I see on these web site, is constant bitching about the men's team. This team is very good, compared to the women, who I hope fire CC, when the new AD comes on board.

Top 4 off top of my head:
Weather spoon on the OOB lob from Juice.
Stempin against OSU
Millner last night. annnnnnnnnd, the totally unexpected:
Ian Salter against EMU-he blew by their top guy on a corner drive and hammered it over two players.
But I’m sure Weatherspoon, Kent, Ames and Sutter had some others that were monsters. Weatherspoon had so many highlight reel dunks it was ridiculous.

Ty Kent had a dunk with 0.1 left that won a game at home against Kent in 2008 or so. Can’t find video anywhere but it was electric. Did come across this one:
