Realistically, would ULM make the grade in a "best of" conference? I doubt it. For the record I have no problem sharing a conference with ULL. They have earned the right to thump their chests and expect to me considered in any realignment where the best of the best will form a new conference. ULM just hired Terry Bowden so, maybe? Tech has always "enjoyed" our rivalry with ULL, in all sports. Yeah, we post smack and tease our Cajun friends because it is fun. But, make no mistake about it, true Tech fans have a measure of respect for ULL. Several years ago Tech baseball beat ULL...swept them as I remember. As good as the Cajuns are in baseball, trust me, we were thrilled (and surprised) by that accomplishment.

ULL has built a solid football program to go along with their other sports. Any thoughts of a CUSA-SBC merger, especially out this way, has to, and will, include ULL.

Yeah, this year the SBC east was the toughest division in the G5; very close to the Pac12 North. Marshall would have only helped that if they were in it.
