Today's politics are determined by population density. More than 800 people per square mile= DEM, Less= REP. Here is an interesting read that found on this phenomenon.

I know you are kidding. You are one of the more level-headed posters on this forum. But this “kidding” comment is very much reflective of the article, and of many of the post-election commenters.

If the author’s point is only that conservatives need to guard against complacency, then it is a sensible argument. Too many assumed that the promises of a “landslide” would overcome any election fraud concerns. Trump went on to singlehandedly blow his re-election, and conservatives are now stuck with an unwinnable hand on likely-but-unprovable claims of vote fraud. Republicans and conservatives (and, yes, I realize those are not the same) need to guard against this complacency - - particularly in the coming 4 years.

But if the point of the article is that conservatives need to shutdown dissenting voices, then America really is lost. It is the progressive movement that stands for censorship. Its arguments cannot hold up under the glare of basic logic, so they attack the speaker. Conservative voices need to point this out relentlessly. It means effort. But it also means that conservatives should stop fighting a battle on the Trump playground.

From the article:

Quote:Astonishingly, the owner of the methadone clinic is one of the biggest supporters of the Democratic activist who was recently elected to the city council.”

So what? I am sure that there are plenty of valid arguments against hosting a methadone clinic in a small community. But if your focus is not on the clinic but rather on the fact that the owner holds disagreeable political beliefs, then you are debating on a progressive level.

That’s Trump-like thinking. And it is a losing approach.

I respect you and what you have written here. However, as. I read your post My mind immediately went to Voltaire. “In the best of all possible worlds” we should not stoop to the level of the extreme left, but this is not “the best of all possible worlds” is it? American values are under attack. I would state the “whiteness” is under attack. We as a nation no longer seek to judge a person by the content of their character.

Neville Chamberlain was a fine man. He understood the horrors of war. He sought “Peace in our time” by negotiating with Hitler. “In the best of all possible worlds” he would have been correct... but we see how that turned out.

The progressive mind hive is sending it’s worker bees out... and they are working feverishly to overturn the American way of life. Make no mistake, they are winning. They out work us, they cheat us, they smear us, they silence us, and they are starting to round us up and arrest us. We are backed into a corner. I don’t believe we can simply rise above the actions of the far left. I don’t believe in riots or violence. I do believe we need to be loud, and active and we have to outwit and out work the socialist mind hive.

Look to some of these young socialists posting on this forum. There minds were warped at college because Republicans voices are not allowed at most universities. We have to step up. When a socialist is banning books at a local small town library we have to step up. Be loud, protest, petition, litigate, stand up for our rights.

What would be nice would be unfettered competition for votes from unlimited candidates and representation based on that...kind of what is done in Britain. Of course the two gangs intentionally have set up the system to eliminate that possibility and prop up a corrupt duopoly for their financial benefit and that of those that bankroll their campaigns. Its just a game...and we are not allowed to play. Paraphrasing Lysander Spooner..."Being able to elect ones master makes them no less a slave."

At the very least a viable third party would be a big help.

This is an excellent response. And we MAY be saying the same thing - - although I am not entirely sure about that.

If we have a difference, it is that I do not see us as a nation at war with ourselves. At least not yet. We instead have ahead of us a miserably difficult chore of combatting the corrosive socialist mindset that has taken hold, and which has seeped into almost every corner and crevice of our household. That (I hope and pray) can be achieved peaceably over the next 4 years.

In a perverse way, it may not be a bad thing to have such obvious fools as Biden and Harris in charge and dimwits such as AOC front and center of the cameras. It will make the educational aspects of reforming American perspectives at least somewhat simpler.

What I find most dangerous is over-reactive wailing from those who think you are not a credible conservative unless you go to the mat for the poor and noble Donald Trump. I don't see it that way. Again, in a perverse sense, he has been the most potent weapon of the progressive movement.

If you allow random impeachments, you have destroyed the rule of law in this country. That is something you have to go to the mat over. If somebody votes for a 1 day impeachment they need to be driven from the party. They do not respect the constitution. They are not serious human beings.

We also have to go to the mat over election security. 2020 is already lost. But we have to start now on 2021, etc.

I agree 100%. Donald is yesterday’s news to me. He exposed the left and had a good and successful foreign policy. He kept us out of foreign entanglements and punctures some sacred cows such as the Paris Climate accord. We now need to turn the page and move on. We lost the election battle and I do think there was fraud but we have to move on. We need to look at the fraud and look at how we drive voter turn out but that is only so we can move forward as a party.

You will find that most of the major legislative acts were bipartisan in nature. Our problem now is total partisanship on both sides. It did not used to be that way. Both gangs had statesmen who understood to get things done there had to be compromise. Often neither side left totally pleased wth the result. Honestly...That should be the goal. Legislation that neither side is particularly happy with is usually good legislation.

Wut? Liberals got rid of slavery, gave women the right to vote, got rid of child labor, gave us clean drinking water, workplace & food standards, a 40 hour work week, social security, medicare, I could go on and on.

There use to be liberals and conservatives in both parties. They've all been purged.

Donald Trump is not Moses. He may have led us out of captivity, but he’s left us drowning in the Red Sea. We now either swim or perish.

Wrong what the President showed you, you need to stand up and fight for what you want in your life. If you refuse to learn how to swim because your instructor says means things to you....

its on you that you drowned

Its like the drill sergeant that has to be up your ass because you were soft to began with. Some people are born that way and will always be pusssies

With that...

those that sit back and dont get involved and sit on their porch swinging and complaining but thats all they do. Well you get what those people that get off the porch and do something about what they see as a wrong. As the world you have to live in.

Those doing the changing is fighting for what they want and it doesnt matter if it goes against the way you lived your life for the last 10 to 50 years. Its up to you to get off the porch and stop complaining to your friends. Then do something about it.

But you cant wait till the tide has changed.

There's three type of people

1.Those that complain and do nothing

2. Those that complain they are above what it takes to get change "He's a mean person"

3. Those that see what they want and do about creating that change.

Well then you have a fourth type

Those that are willing to stand up for the complainers and pusssies and fight back and try to get you off your asses and do the same.

Now we are starting to see those setting on their porches...standing up.

The pusssies that thinks he's a mean person...well there's a reason they are *******. They never stood up to no one and hate it when others show them for what they are.

It would be nice if California, Illinois and New York had two competitive political parties.

Actually, it also would be nice if California even allowed two, instead of forcing the jungle primary system they currently have.

RE: Progressive Shiitebags colonizing small towns.
It amazes me when people wake up one day and see the world around them has changed. No one on this earth is stopping CHANGE. We all have to be able to change with the world/cities we live in.

But we all can be a part in which way the change goes, if you get involved. We elect our city government but that city government has to take into account everyone and give and take on both sides. Its not your city or their city its everyone that lives there. But the direction it takes is usually the way those that want change, takes it. Most people are too set in their life to care...

till they wake up and dont like it

I didnt read the link just posting on what I see as the problem in the changes in small town USA
