RE: The Covid Effect
Well Aggie blow today's game. We didn't play with Rice and Henry in the line up. NMSU is limping along this season.

Wow. With nine players with COVID, it is unlikely Tarleton will be ready for its inaugural season opener in the WAC against GCU; on Jan. 8th/9th. The games might need to be postponed for a later date.

I implied something which is incorrect. We’ve had 9 players with COVID and all are over it. The team has been practicing for two days.

Better news, thanks.

GCU is now having COVID issues and cancelled this week's games. No word on next week yet...

UGH...I hate this. Really tough to get any kind of momentum.

GO AGGIES!!!

Looked really terrible down the stretch. I have faith Coach Jans will get them locked in, but that was hard to watch. CSUN isn’t a very good team either, without their starting SF.

In uncertain times like these, this much we all know to be true. I'm sure it doesn't make it any easier to watch now, but Aggies will be ready when it really matters.

Maybe if we can get our whole team to be healthy and eligible all at once (by WAC tournament time), we might become the Aggie team we were projected to be as this season was set to start. Our Aggie team has talent but they currently lack the team chemistry and the mental toughness of Jans' past Aggie teams. Hopefully that will change for the better over the course of this season.

No excuses. Should have won that game. Aggie players getting on Twitter and whining about fans being critical left a very bad taste in my mouth. I mentioned we played awful, no expletives, just stated we played bad and an ex player who always gets on there starts lecturing fans. These fans donate thousands of dollars little boy and don’t need lectures from anyone. For that reason I quit Twitter last night. Aside from the constant political dribble I don’t need that either.

RE: The Covid Effect
Another thing that got me is Will McNair has no business being in the starting lineup. We have a four star recruit at 6’9 that is eligible and only played two minutes which by the way, matched McNairs 30 minutes stats. To much hero ball last night. I felt like Jan’s got possessed by the spirit of Marvin Menzies too with his coaching. When things were going south never called a time out. Bryce Rewalt was wide open btw for a corner 3 and ball hog Donnie Tillman jacks up a horrible shot at the end. Johnny McCants who should live on the inside is shooting three point baskets left and right. I might have to eat my words but I’ll be shocked if this team wins the WAC without Rice and Henry in the lineup

Aggies will sort it out in time. They always do.

The first thing I think we’ve agreed on! Cheers! 04-cheers

After I quit Twitter, IG and Facebook- life was much more enjoyable.

It’s a sad realization in life when you realize you’re too old for things. Like when you think you have to start buying clothes at an old man store so you don’t wear the same things as kids 20 years younger than you.

On a sports note- I hope gcu has their COVID stuff figured out before wac play. I’m going to be in Dallas that weekend and bought a ticket to both games at tarleton. It seems like it’ll be the only games I can see this year!

Refunds for pre-purchased tickets can be made by emailing tickets@tarleton.edu or calling 254-968-1832.

Just in case the games done happen.

Looks like Dixie is actually going to get their crack at Gonzaga tonight. I was wondering if it would really happen or end in another disappointing cancellation. I'm sure it's something they've been looking forward to, very cautiously.

Sounds like Jalen Suggs won't be playing tonight, so Dixie will only lose by 46 instead of 66.

Dixie v Gonzaga is streaming free on Stadium if anyone is interested. Dixie playing very respectable early on. Impressed they came out looking decent.

Game started about 10 minutes before this post.

Dixie looks like they will struggle with any consistent uptempo but has shown they will hang around if you don't play defense.

I don't think they'll struggle that much against teams that aren't Gonzaga. They want to play up tempo, according to their coach. Gonzaga just has it perfected. They also shot around 70% the first half which they won't always do.

Dixie isn't giving up a lot of easy points from fast breaks. They get back, but before they really get set Gonzaga can score from any where they want. And once they started hitting 3s, they really stretched the lead.

Dixie is without a couple of their scorers tonight, but looks to be a team to watch out for. Cameron Gooden is a really nice player. Very talented Juco transfer.

GU is legit no question, one of our AAU kids plays for them so I'm really bias about them. DSU seems to be sucking wind for a group that wants uptempo. Dixie will be the best team from Utah from this day forward in basketball. They are going to be fun to have around.
