It looked awful on TV.
Congrats UC. They made you earn it. Plus, you kept them in the game with penalties and miscues. Regardless, Tulsa is a tough as nails team.

You shouldn't, but knowing the CFP committee... probably. I won't be shocked to see Cincinnati drop a spot as well.
I think the AAC Championship win will push Cincy all the way up to #8.
Agree. I don't see UC dropping. I see them possibly moving up a spot or two, or at worst staying the same. Somewhere between 7 and 9. If they had blow out Tulsa, I could have seen them getting as high as 5, but still missing playoffs.

Aresco, on the other hand, used the trophy presentation to do so.
I almost turned that off
If the CFP cabal would exclude 25-0 UCF, UC doesn't have a chance. It's just about the money anyway. And, with that in mind...
my projection: Alabama, Clemson, O$U and ND
Three games of "who cares".
You know they are going to have a Clemson and Ohio State rematch. The press will salivate and eat it up. We will get force fed that story line for the next 2 weeks. And my guess is Texas A&M gets a rematch with Alabama because the Clemson/Notre Dame game was so lopsided.

Look, there’s a reason Vanderbilt doesn’t win the SEC. Even if vandy ever put together a halfway decent team, if they won the SEC it would mean that that league is severely diminished that year for them to be able to win.

Tulsa is good but I don’t think they’re light years better than us. We beat them this season, remember? The AAC even confirmed it...

RE: ***Official AAC Football Championship Game Thread***
Ehhh this game is whatever... Cincinnati would've blown the doors off Tulsa if it wasn't raining... Cincinnati should've had 4 or 5 interceptions this game. People mad Cincinnati didn't play in Tulsa and feel like Tulsa should be thankful that they didn't get a Cincinnati team that was able to practice... Tulsa had 2 and half weeks to prepare for Cincinnati, I hope they came out with some decent game plan or Scotty shouldn't be coaching middle school. UC was missing at least 3 major parts of its team and still won. Tulsa was simulating the cadence / snap count and still lost. Y'all couldn't stop the passing game in the rain how you think they would've faired in better weather? Y'all wanted a crisp prepared Cincinnati in Tulsa? Y'all better be happy you got this stiff, underprepared Cincinnati team because it helped make Tulsa look good.

Congrats Cincy! Way to persevere in some awful weather after a big layoff. Was hoping for a big, lopsided win to move you up in the CFP but layoff & weather worked against you. A win is a win for the CC & Tulsa played a great game. With a great season, Tulsa gets a bowl game & gets to keep their coach. Cincy go beat UGA!

Yes, compared to last week, I think Cincy definitely moves ahead of Iowa State. There is a small chance they could move ahead of Georgia, and a small chance they might get passed by Oklahoma. But overall, I think a one-spot move upward to #8 is most likely.
I would like to see Cincy play Georgia in the Peach Bowl. Georgia has real top-five talent so that would be a good measuring stick as to how good Cincy compares to those types of teams.

Too bad Tulsa couldn't find another 7 points against Okie St.
Both teams were better than those loser teams in the B12 CCG.
Pretty sure both teams could come within 34-10 to Clemson too, wink, wink.

FWIW, I was more "impressed" with Tulsa than Cincy yesterday. I thought Cincy would beat them much more handily. Cincy had looked more dominant all year, and really, Tulsa should have lost more than one game, they needed miracles to beat ECU and Tulane.
Cincy won fair and square yesterday, of course, but Tulsa really gave them a badger fight, on the road in bad conditions with not nearly as much to play for. It was a really good effort.

Wish we would have got you in Tulsa. Still if we only play once at least it was a damn good one.
Probably deserves an * since the chickened out of the first game. After we smacked them down twice last year they couldn't risk it.
Dont you think?
Tulsa still leads the series too.

Yeah I would agree. Tulsa ran all over uc. I thought Cincy looked pretty pedestrian last night, not sure if it was the layoff or what but I wasn't impressed

If we played 'em in Toolsa we'd have won there and not been so freakin' rusty last night. That by far was our worst game of the season.
So I think the cancellation actually was to Toolsa's benefit.
