Women's Basketball 2020-2021 general discussion
Tulsa beat Oklahoma St today by 7 in Stillwater. Mayberry sisters are some ballers we may be decent this year. Right now our only OOC opponent, we should get our game in versus ORU at some point they are usually a decent team so a win against them will be two decent victories, OU or Arkansas may be possibilities as add ins, coach said she has been talking to people with all the cancellations and they have some open communication lines to lots of people, we missed out on a ranked Missouri St that game could happen as well not a terrible drive. Nothing has been worked out yet though.
I saw USF won and expect them to get ranked with only that close Baylor loss and the big win.
UCF went down, not sure how good FGCU is, I know women Midmajors are stronger than they tend to be in the men's game.
Everyone else looks like they have some decent wins (minus winless SMU/Temple) any expectations/upcoming games we should pay attention to? Will be a different year with out UConn dominance removing the drama from the conference. USF looks to be the top. Not sure but UCF, Houston, and Tulane look like they will be trying to run the bulls down, Cincy in a bit of a rough start but that team has been pretty solid with the new coach and this is her third year so the players are mostly hers. Tulsa, WSU and ECU look better than last year and probably make up that next tier, maybe Memphis as well.

houston is 3-1 with wins over auburn and oklahoma... best start in over a decade.. we play cincy and usf this week, so it'll be a short wait to find out if we are legitimate contenders or not

Thanks should have probably included that. Tulsa as always is underrated lol but we do have like 6 newcomers, we went 9 deep vs OSU and there wasn't a lot of drop off. The Mayberry sisters are a big deal though, our best two guards and they lift the other players. Not sure where we finish but I doubt last.
Houston and Tulane both could be pretty good with Houston looking the better bet right now. Cincy needed a couple wins ooc to really help out but didn't quite get them, so they will need to do well in the league to have a chance. USF and UCF seem to be top teams right now. Not sure Temple is fair to judge with all the trouble from covid the whole athletic department has dealt with. They came on strong last year, may follow that pattern again.
