Sure DJ and LQ will have better games. But you will always have a team full of guys who randomly go hot and cold when your offense is this wild with an entire team just jacking when they want to. Basketball requires roles... can't have a bunch of guys doing the same thing in a vacuum.

I can give DJ s pass based upon his injury. Lomax is just undisciplined for a PG

This was a bad, bad loss. No excuse whatsoever. That being said, Why in the world is Lester guarding the biggest guy on the court. Cisse looks lost and Jeffries is just not that dude. Alo?? Don't get me started.

Is it OK to love Penny the player, but not Penny the coach?

Cisse looked exactly like a reclassed freshman is supposed to look against Bassey so no shame on him. The rest I gotta agree with though.

Cisse has to rebound better...But Penny also has to trust his bigs...He cant keep pulling his bigs out when we cant score.

Teach Nolley to be a play maker...That is our only hope on offense.

I don't understand having both Dandridge and Cisse on the bench. You have to have someone in to rebound, defend and space the floor. Not having them in there screws everything up on every level.

Penny trying to run an NBA scheme without NBA players.

Cal Essentially runs the same thing at UK...But guess what...Cal has much better guards and playmakers.

DJ had a poor offensive day, but he got 10 rebounds! Without him rebounding we would have gotten killed.

DJ needs direction...

Still trying to outrun people to the goal...

And he needs to put in the work to consistently hit a 12-15ft pull up jump shot. He is shooting those uncovered and missing.

Start making those and he has a ton of options when he gets going downhill...Right now it is just a race to the rim and he is not finishing.

If we had Stokes, who really should not have been suspended, it's a different game and if the NCAA wasn't slow as hell in getting DeAndre his waiver he would have added a helpful addition to this game.

Stokes would have fared the same fate as Mike Parks...

When you are running a switch everything defense Stokes would have been eaten alive...Penny would have to implement a different defensive scheme to play Stokes...Not sure he would be willing to do that unless Stokes was scoring regularly on offense.

The switch everything game plan Is ridiculous. Bassey is a load for any center to handle... much less a guard.

Surely Cisse will be better, but that was a rough showing against a good big.

Not sure what to say. If you want to be a one and done lottery pick, that sure isn’t the way to prove yourself (3 rebounds).

It drives me crazy.. How often are we going to get beat because our big is 30ft away from the basket and our guard is trying to protect the basket... its stupid. Dandridge should have fouled out this game. He should have been in there banging the heck out of their bigs until he picked up 5 fouls and was forced to leave. Most of the game should have had Cisse and Dandridge playing side by side.

maybe we're fortunate we don't have to face WVU's bullish frontcourt tomorrow, they are one of the best in the country

True. I thought our frontcourt was gonna be pretty stacked, but they seem like more of a liability at this point. Would have been nice to have Williams, but I’m not sure how good he is.

why is anyone surprised that he struggled against another quality big man? He has almost never had to face another one during high school.

Cisse should be a senior in high school. People are acting like he is trash because he isn’t wiseman or precious. He will need time. Good chance even a second season. Not that I think it was a good decision but I think the goal with having LQ on Basse when they switched was to just deny him the entry pass close to the basket. He did a good job of this in the first half. Constantly getting position in front of him and not letting himself get sealed behind. Second half when Basse was destroying us this wasn’t happening. Maybe it was just conditioning at that point. Cisse couldn’t handle him anyways but I would have liked to see Malcolm bang with him at that point. At least he would have likely made it tougher on him.

I hope WKU beats WVU tonight just to shut some of you guys up about how bad that team was and we lost to them. We should have won. They aren’t worldbeaters but they are a projected ncaa tournament team. They could beat plenty of decent teams on any given day. Basse is gonna cause problems for a lot of teams.
