ULM is likely to cancel the game. Citing China virus, but it's really more about their being 0-8 I think. ULM wanted the game WAY more than Tech did, which is why they agreed to play in Shreveport. Now they are sending signals they may wish to cancel.

I don't think La Tech fans are going to have to worry about playing Louisiana. Even though I think it's a perfect matchup this year.

Louisiana will likely be in the Sunbelt championship, There's no way they're going to play in the New Orleans bowl 4 days after playing in their championship game.

More than likely, the New Orleans bowl is going to be filled by whoever doesn't play in the championship game. So either Coastal or App State, whoever doesn't make their championship game will go to the New Orleans bowl.

It's really frustrating, at some point these writers are going to have to be called out for this.

It's the same reason you don't get annual games scheduled against Tulane. You guys are known for your cheating, and you're not even good at it. It's nothing new, but the last episode happened only a few years ago when your football team was caught cheating on ACT test scores. I believe that resulted in UL-L having to vacate several wins, including a couple of your bowl wins. Unlike UL-Lafayette, some institutions look down at that sort kind of thing. Time will tell if you guys have finally cleaned up your act. I have my doubts, but if you guys can ever manage to string together a decade or so of playing by the same rules that everyone else does, maybe things will change with scheduling.

We play Tulane next year and the year after. We went up to NOLA and lost in 4 OT’s a couple years back so that’s not true. Outside of the Hud ACT scandal I can’t think of anything else in the last 40-50 years. Louisiana is definitely not known for cheating. We are known for excellent diamond spots and now being ranked in the AP Top 25 for multiple weeks in football. When was the last time Tech was ranked? Serious question. Wish we could have played y’all this year. Would be a really fun and hard-fought game. But let’s be real, the game would have likely been canceled cause Tech can’t control their Covid issues.

Tech was ranked in 2012...lost to Johnny Football and aTm in an epic shootout, 59-57, then climbed back into the Top 25 again that year before losing in OT to Utah State, who was also ranked in the Top 25. I could be mistaken, but I think we popped in and then quickly out of the Top 25 at least once since then.

Hopelessly mediocre is a bit harsh. I have no problem admitting Tech is a solid program. It may be a down year for yalls standards but a bowl game is likely on the horizon...if we can even get that deep into the season. Best of luck and hopefully we can hookup on the gridiron sooner than later!
