I imagine it will be Dec 19 or not at all.
Higher priority for AAC to make up Navy-Tulsa since we already have two losses and Tulsa should not get an advantage of fewer games and potential losses than UC.

We could beat moo state. They are a couple years away from the NCAA 14 offense kicking in.

I meant they don't want a replacement now that the season is winding down. We've had other opportunities that they've passed on. No one wants the travel expense for a meaningless game. And the staff doesn't have time to prepare for an unknown during game week.

Unlikely, as a number of the bowl games that the AAC has contracts with are played within a week of Dec 19.

Four of the AAC bowls are the 26th or later - including the B'ham bowl which is Memphis's likely destination. It's possible to assign bowls before, then go ahead and play the Navy game, and still have a week before the bowl. But I agree it's unlikely.

When does the AAC achieve enough credibility to upgrade our bowl game ties?

Yeah, if we are going to push the P6 mindset, let’s see the AAC swap places with some current P5 teams in their bowl games and even things out a little....

Be careful of the ronas.
Missouri went to Wyoming once. The result didn’t exactly buttress Barry Odom’s reputation.

Things could easily change for many teams the week of Dec 5 and 12, as leagues look to makeup games. Could easily flip/flop schedules, could depend on conf races as well in terms of whether the game is needed to be made up.

Bowls are not about credibility or competition. They are about $$$. The P5 have that all locked-down - from ratings to ticket sales. And then there's the good ole boy network that scratches each others' backs. Don't hold your breath about bowl upgrades.
It's a corrupt system. And it's unforgivable that the NCAA turns a blind-eye and tries to wash their hands of the system. "We don't govern college football postseason." Why not?
But, it is what it is.
EDIT: To clarify the typical NCAA response about allowing the corrupt bowl system and CFP.
