ECU has a large passionate fan base. No disrespect intended but when Tulsa gets screwed over there simply aren't enough upset people to warrant such a statement.

How do you think UCF won all of those games the last few years. It was better for the conference for them to win, therefore they won with some horrendous calls.

This is the only game where a team was robbed worse than ECU on Friday night.
Tulsa fans take heart, Colorado went on to win the National title that year. It's worse because Colorado didn't even get in the end zone on 5th down despite the refs calling it a TD. Then during the confusion and a long delay, the Mizzou home fans returned to their seats, their team was summoned back out, they got excited only for the ref to announce that the TD stands and that they need to attempt the extra point with no time left on the clock. Those refs will be remembered in infamy. There's even a bar named after the play in Columbia, Missouri. Worse yet, the clock operator inexplicably stopped the clock for about 4 seconds, just enough time to let Colorado get up and down it on 4th down, thereby allowing the 5th down play.
After watching those videos I actually feel better about The Tulsa Screwjob.
This was a close third and may have been worse if not for the fact that this prompted an NCAA rule change and the fact that the ref was assaulted after the game (payback's a bi+ch).

We share that crew with Big 12 and CUSA
Wasn't there an announcement that we were doing a ref-sharing deal with the ACC a year or two back? What every happened with that? Did I make that up?
"PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has partnered with the Atlantic Coast Conference on a football officiating alliance that will allow both leagues to work together on a wide range of officiating matters, including scheduling, training, development, recruitment, retention and evaluation.
The alliance, effective immediately, will be administered by Dennis Hennigan, the ACC’s Supervisor of Football Officials, who will manage the assignment, hiring and training of game officials. The American will name its own Supervisor of Football Officials, who will be responsible for the weekly evaluation of officials for the conference and will be the primary point person between the conference and its 12 head football coaches."
I guess that's not technically a ref-sharing program. So are we pooling with CUSA and Big 12, but we're sharing....HR duties with the ACC?

I have CHANGED MY POSITION ON THIS!!! Be it known, and let it go forth from this time and place, that I believe the Tulsa player re-established ball control momentarily, knee hit the ground, and then the ball came out.
-pharaoh OUT.

The key is it has to be indisputable to overturn. Even you having to change your mind means its disputable to you. If you you slow it down from one angle you can rationalize that conclusion but in real time it's clear he never regained control. The AAC wouldn't come out and own the blunder unless it was clear an obvious error. The bigger issue is the aggregate culpability of all the different calls that went against ECU in order to make it possible for Tulsa to win.
The AAC Has A Massive Issue With Replay Review After another controversial call on replay, the AAC needs to fix their growing issue officiating video reviews.
