Hey I know liberty has a bad reputation sometimes,but the people and students are for the most part are really good people and you don't have to like them but they have done a lot better and progressed faster than odu has. You can't deny right now they have a better program than odu. I hate it but and hope that our new staff will change that but results are results

They hired Hugh Freeze...I mean, come on. How well they adjust after getting sanctioned will tell alot. A private, christian university hiring a head coach that lied about having escorts on speed dial.

That's the rumor, he was divorced from his first wife in 1996 I believe and the rumor was it was due to an affair with a UVA cheerleader. He'd have been in his early 30's at that point so not really a dirty old man and they were consenting adults. Still, unprofessional to say the least and a bad look as a figurehead of sorts for the University.

Definitely didn't slow down the hiring process for post-Arkansas Petrino at WKU/Louisville/Missouri State.

Yeah, 25 years and about 125 pounds ago. Probably don't have to worry much about that happening again. But yes, doing some research and it appears to be a rumor and not written in the papers, for what it's worth. Wouldn't surprise me either way and don't/didn't care. My concerns were and are with his mediocre record.

What checked pasts did Blaine Taylor and Jeff Jones have that was anything similar to escorts and recruiting violations? And we aren't a private religious institution.

Not sure she was a cheerleader, but she was well placed in C-ville society. A group with a long memory. We will never play UVA in the regular season as long as JJ is our coach.

I've heard the same from a biggish UVA donor. He said he likes Jones but knows there's still resentment.

Yeah definitely not a good look for sure if true but no where near what WhoPees and McCow did and what's worse is they are now working for a school that claims its superior Religious values over others. What ever **** Luhbutty.

That has the largest enrollment of any school in the state, student engagement we would die for, a fantastic football stadium, a new hoops arena in the works and a better football team that was on the cusp of top 25 (and arguably better basketball teams).

I guess if you argue that they were better in 1; maybe 2 seasons makes them a better team?
